I loved this special! It made me feel proud to be a SpongeBob fan! I don't feel embarassed about, especially not since there were prisoners singing the theme song and a woman donated a room of her house AND her body to SpongeBob! I really like the rundown of the characters and the actors, although it somehow seemed hard to believe that they actually provide such different voices. I was surprised they took the gay controversy as though it was just a little joke, I thought they might try to squash the rumors. I loved the episode clips they showed, especially the FUN song. This special provided a lot of information I did't know, especially how everyone involved with the show thought the idea of it was odd at first and were shocked by the cultural phenomenon it has become. This was an excellent special, and a great way to celebrat SpongeBob's impact on the world!

I watched this on Hulu today and it was absoultely wonderful! It was really awesome to see all those SpongeBob fans and staff give such positive insight on the show. I went 'aww' on a lot of parts, especially at the part with the fanmail. The woman with the 'SpongeBob Shrine' was awesome! And I thought I had a lot of SB stuff! And I had no idea how many celeberites liked him! What I found kinda ironic was that they seemed to support the 'SpongeBob being gay thing. And being the geek that I am I loved all the behind the scenes stuff they showed, that was pretty awesome. All in all, this was one of the most awesome things I've seen in a while!

Remember guys, that this will air on Nick @ Nite this Thursday at 10 pm. Now what I find weird is that they're airing it on "Nick @ Nite" and not on the regular Nickelodeon, but the only logical reason I think for this is because the whole gay controversy discussion, Nick wouldn't allow a theme like this on it's regular programming, so I think. Anyway, I'm definitely re-watching

I was thinking about that. I thought if they were gonna air this on Nickelodeon, what would they do about the whole "he's possibly gay thing.

Yes, i was thinking the same thing, I'm guessing they would just cut it out, but I'm sure Stephen wouldn't want them to, or maybe it's to troublesom for them.

I really liked the documentary, it was very informative and interesting with lots of cool facts.

Notable bits:
-I was actually suprised they mentioned the whole "Spongebob is Gay rumor (which I don't believe is true), though the cast and crew seemed more bemused by it than anything.

-The bit about fan mail from prisons was amusing, I guess it's true what they say, "In every criminal beats the heart of a ten-year old boy.... and vice-versa."

-I don't remember the Spongebob balloon-napping news story (though I think it happend a few years back), and the clip they showed after that part was strangely prophetic... or maybe it's just me.

-The lady with all the Spongebob collectables and tattoos was interesting, showing how not just kids are into Spongebob. And her tattoos were cool.

In short, it was an excellent documentary which really captures the spirit of the Spongebob phenomenon
