I saw something similar to this in The Simpsons forums, so I thought I'd make one here. Even if you saw one before it, which one actually got you into this show?

For me, it was Ripped Pants. It was the first episode I ever watched, followed by the other episodes on the Nautical Nonsense And Sponge Buddies DVD.

The first episode I saw was "MuscleBob BuffPants", and I absolutely HATED it. It wasn't until I was older that I started liking SpongeBob. But the episode which really got me hooked was Bubblestand.

I don't remember what episode got me hooked, but I do know that my first episode was Help Wanted, back when it was new.

I remember hating SpongeBob SquarePants in the beginning, and even thought it would be stupid when they were just showing previews.

Back in 2002 at my grandpa's house, I watched a marathon of SB episodes for "Party Pooper Pants." I guess I was so hooked, that I didn't realize it was a marathon! So I guess "Party Pooper Pants."

I've been watching SpongeBob for many years. The episode I first watched was Squeaky Boots, and I didn't mind much about SpongeBob. Then when I watched The Krusty Krab Training Video in spanish (I discovered the show in spanish) I loved it and became a regular SpongeBob watcher. But it was until one sad and lonely christmas that I saw Christmas Who? And I got so hooked that I'll never get unhooked ever again. Everytime I hear "The Very First Christmas to me" I feel like a strong nostalgia. It means a lot to me, really

Well, I was at my dad's house, and while he went out with my brothers, SpongeBob happened to be on and it was the 'Jellyfish Jam' episode. I couldn't stop laughing during that episode, and somehow after that I just got hooked.

"Ripped Pants" is the episode that first got me interested, but "Home Sweet Pineapple" and "Pizza Delivery" made me a regular viewer! I hated this show when I was younger, but I'm glad I changed my mind now!

Tea at the Treedome. When SpongeBob's pinkie snapped off, I just couldn't stop laughing.

I can't even remember the first time I watched Spongebob or how I got hooked on it. I don't think I was even around yet to see the previews! But I guess as I kept watching it, the more I liked it. I think that Spongebob will be kinda like the Flintstones for us. Something that we will always know and remember. I can just picture 30 years from now, we'll be telling out kids (if we have any) "Oh yeah! I used to watch Spongebob all the time. That show has been around for 40 years." (if it even lasts that long!)

What got me hooked into the series was the previews of the series shown a few months before the 1999 Kids choice Awards

I think even if they stop airing episodes, they'll never stop showing reruns! That'd be helpful for me, as I don't want to die until I've seen every episode of SpongeBob aired (including The Splinter!)
