The Simpsons have actually won Kids' Choice Awards in the past. Of course, that was before the years that they started to nominate SpongeBob.
The Simpsons only won Fave Cartoon on 2002, then on 2003 Spongebob started winning. Hey, I checked and in 1 year FAMILY GUY was nominated!, maybe it wasn't so offensive then.
FAMILY GUY?! What kid would ever watch that?!

Yeah! Where did you see that?

If you search Kids Choice Awards in wikipedia there is this bar at the bootom with links to ever KCA, in one of them Family Guy was nominated for best cartoon

EDIT: It was King of he Hill, not FG, 0n 1998

That's even more perplexing on what kid would watch that. I actually know a couple of kids who watch Family Guy.

@Serg:Sorry, but you kept saying the award show was rigged, and that sort of offended me. I wanted Spongebob to win, so I didn't like what you said.

I'm glad SB won. I been a SB fan ever since it first aired on TV, I'm proud to be a fan family Guy up for an award, what is South park the only animated show that kids don't watch seeing how it's like the only one out of Family and The Simpsons that has never been up for this award, That's funny sees as the main characters of that show are 9 year old kids

that's not what I meant, besides I was joking about that, I'm surprised you actually thought I was serious . But anyways I was pointing out that the Simpson's and family guy got nominated when their like in the same background as South Park

no, they aren't, from what i have seen, simpsons is more aimed at teens/adults, with jokes pretty much anyone can get.

family guy is more for older teens and adults, whereas south park is strictly adult-oriented.

only reason i thought you were serious is because i used to think that way about TV

actually in a way they are. All three shows have the types of jokes that anyone can get and their mature shows, well The Simpson's are more mature now as they use to be

and all three shows including South park are for Teens/adults. The teens at the school she works at watches all three of those shows, she says those shows are the topic every day and my 16 year old cousin watches Family guy and South Park

    so I say they are

No one I know watches Simpsons, but they aren't really for adults. I think if you are above like, 10 or so, you will get the jokes. Sure, you will definitely get the jokes when you are older, but if kids as young as 8 or so watch, they will either laugh or get some of the jokes. They may have some language, sex, drugs, alcohol, etc. but that's not every single episode.

Family Guy is suggested for anyone 14 and up, yet I know some little kids who watch it. Basically every episode is nothing BUT language, sex, alcohol, "God Does Not Exist/ Messed up this World!" jokes, etc. I don't think anyone under 14 should watch {but of course most kids do}.

South Park is strictly adults, I think. It's TV MA, it has a lot of adult oriented episodes, language, violence, sex, etc. Whilst I also know some people who do watch, I don't know anyone who watches younger than 16 {and 16 is just 2 years away from being an adult, so it is not that big a deal}.

    Of course, these are just opinions, I just think that Simpsons, you can watch basically whenever and like it {some hard-core fans started when they were literally 2, 3 years old}, Family Guy you should be 14 or so {maybe 13...}, and south Park you should be 18 or so {I'd say 16-15 be the limit on youngest, I don't think anyone younger should watch South Park}

I know. kids who are under 16 at my moms school watch it

South Park is usually for adults, but like I said teens watch it, so the way i look at it there all the same to me

and adult is 21, you can't do adults stuff until you reach the age of 21, so no their not 2 years away, I don't consider 18 as adults, I consider 18 as a teenager

the reason I think their the same to me, is that they all have the same humor and adults and teens watch them, even if their for adults, teens still watch them anyway

i don't really pay attention to south park. but the most common age of when someone is considered a legal adult is generally 18. others have different definitions of "legal adult" but i think 18 is a good age
