On Sunday night, September 20th, "P & F" goes head-to-head with "SpongeBob SquarePants" to see who will take home the award in the Special Class – Short-Format Animated Programs category (With "The Monster of Phineas-N-Ferbenstein" competing against "SpongeBob" 's "Dear Vikings" episode).

so which ep do you think will win and if you dont like dear vikings what ep of SB do you think they should of used.

I don't like Dear Vikings, but gosh, any Phineas and Ferb content winning an award would just make me sick. (I'm a major classic Disney freak) So, I honestly hope Dear Vikings wins. Honestly, I think they should have used Goo Goo Gas, Two Faces of Squidward, or one of those other newer good episodes. (Well, I think they're good)

    ^Pretty much what he said.

Also, I personally think they should've used Bubblestand, SB-129, Camping episode, or Rollar Cowards.

^, no, guys, only episodes aired in 2008-2009 qualify for a nomination.

I'm mad they chose Dear Vikings, but it doesn't matter as long as SpongeBob finally wins it's deserved first Emmy. If P&F wins I'll jump off a bridge or something, not because I hate P&F, cuz I don't, but because SB has been around so much longer and it's about time it wins one already.

Ohh. Then I think Spongebob vs. The Big one should've been nominated instead.

Am I the only one who can't stand Phineas and Ferb here? Anyway, moving back on topic, I would like to see SpongeBob winning an Emmy award once and for all.

No, I hate P&F, too & that would be awsome if SB got an Emmy!

Well both shows are pretty dang funny and great cartoons, so I don't care who wins really. But didn't SB win an EMMY before? I mean he won ALLOT of awards, so it will be kind of nice to see P and F wins you know?

I don't watch Phineas & Ferb, so I don't really know what SpongeBob has to compete with. "Dear Vikings" isn't all that bad; it just has a crappy ending. I have no idea why Nick chose to put that episode up for Emmy consideration, but there's a good chance it'll win, considering that it is just a head-to-head category this time.
I sure hope the judges come to their senses to make SB the winner, since it's been on the air for 10 years and has been Emmy-nominated several times. I guess we can only pray.

Question, what does it having been on air for 10 years have to do wit anything? It's about how good an episode that aired during 08-09 from those two series.

I'm just saying that's one of the reasons why the show deserves it. It's not fair that every year SB gets nominated, the award goes to The Simpsons or South Park instead when they've already won tons of awards. At least they created a new category this time and with only two nominees. I bet SB will win this time, though.

But, it's not about fairness, it's about what some random people think is better.

And, i think P&F will win, but that's just me.

So wait a minute...SpongeBob gets nominated for an Emmy, we had a bunch of good episodes, and they pick "Dear Vikings" to be put against Phineas and Ferb? Well, I'd pick SpongeBob no matter what episode it was, but I hope others agree! They should have used "To Square Or Not to Square Pants"....that episode, at least, has popularity!

...or "Single Cell Anniversary". Pretty much every user here gave it either a 9.5 or a 10.0 rating. "Dear Vikings" barely got any positive reviews here, so I have no idea why they put that one up of Emmy consideration if that's the case.
