I'd say either 3 or 5. I think season 4 has the best animation.

    I agree.

My favourite seasons animation-wise were 1 and 4. 1 because it looked so classic and old. 4 because..well it just has the best animation.

for the first half of season 4 i agree. all of a sudden, the characters animation started to look different. for example, in mrs puff you're fired, sergeant roderick and mr. fitz looked different animation wise then spongebob and mrs. puff. does anyone understand what i'm talking about?

I don't know. That's why I am asking you guys. As for you're picture, Patrick looks like season one.

No, that wouldn't be season 1! That'd be season 2, or maybe 3 even, but most probably 2.

Yeah I do, and I too noticed that. They just seem different, but I can't really explain how.

Season six technically has the best animation, though I personally like season three's better.

The movie's animation beats them all by a landslide. It's a shame that animation is too expensive.

I believe The Simpsons new episodes use the same animation that was used in The Simpsons Movie...

Yeah I agree that the animation in the SpongeBob Squarepants movie was absolutely fabulous!

The whole movie in general was awesome! It is so exciting and will always be one of my most favorite movies!

Now as for the show's animation in each season, I thought season one had an interesting ring to it.

As for the other seasons I guess each one had their own special and unique style of animation, but I'm not sure which one I'd say is the best.

Yeah Nothing can top The SpongeBob Square Pants Movie! But of course Season 6 has better animation! As time goes on they make more money and apparently use all that money on the animation! (and not the ideas! xD Just Kidding! ) Even though I do still see Paint marks on the walls and stuff sometimes, but I kinda like it now.

RedSoxFan274, the episode that was paired with "Selling Out", was "Funny Pants".

Each season had their own special and unique animation? I have to disagree there. As the show went on, the animation just got better. It didn't change in style; just improved.

    All shows do that.
