Spongebob might have bad episodes season 4+. But spongebob is not going downhill! It is practically going uphill. Season 6 was a little better than season 2. If I rate a season after season 4 that is better than a season 3 and before, than that means that it is going uphill. If you agree, please post here whether you agree or disagree. Just remember, spongebob is not going downhill!

    In your opinion it isn't.

In my opinion it isn't, either. Many episodes from the latter seasons are enjoyable, and I still love this show to pieces. But they still can't match-up to Season 3. Maybe better than Season 2 though, as lately I've only been giving Season 2 episodes mid-7's in reviews.

I completely agree! I loved so many Season 4-6 episodes like Wishing You Well, Krusty Towers, Goo Goo Gas, Sing A Song Of Patrick, The Patty Caper, Ditchin' and Krabby Road!

Hmmm, this is a tough decision for me, but I'll have to say its not going downhill either, at least not that much. In my opinion this show was only falling downwards in season 5, but yeah I agree, some episodes in this season (season 6) are pretty good! A few are even great! Like Krusty Krushers, Ditchin' and Porous Pockets! And The Slumber Party and House Fancy! A Life in a Day I also think wasn't that bad, and The Patty Caper was also pretty good too! I can go on even further! But I'll stop now.

Anyone else here agree with me?

Yeah SpongeBob must live on so it can't be going downhill, I mean, its almost season seven time! And I am excited for that! Its also lucky number 7!

It's like a recession, quality decreased from season 3 to 4, then it went way down with season 5, and now it's going up with season 6. I personally love this season, not more than season 2, but in between 1 and 4. Season 5 is just a disgrace. But the show has recover, and it's still recovering, so let's cross our fingers for season 7. I will love the show no matter what, tho.

It is rather tricky. I don't think the show is going downhill. No. It already has. The beginning of it was, back in it's middle years, when Nickelodeon decided to bring it back after the movie's curtain call. However that's not to say that the current episodes are as bad as they were back then. In fact, I think they are better, but I would never argue that they are better than the old episodes.

Maybe if the movie came after 7 or 8 seasons of SpongeBob, because Hillenburg would still be working on the show.

I think what happened with Steve is something he said on an interview once: "I wanted a show I didn't have to struggle with for many seasons" that tells me he just forced himself to continue the show because it got so popular.

Well, a way to avoid that would to have about 35/40 episodes per season.

I never thought it was going downhill... Always enjoyed it. Though i'll admit some season four and five episodes are slightly below par... But certainly at present i don't think it is going downhill.

Yeah, I mean really, the show is doing pretty well now, its not doing bad that much at all anymore I'd say, at least not enough to say that its still heading downhill. I'd say Nick and its writers are finally trying to do better with this show, and as a result this show is perhaps slowly but steadily heading uphill again.

Even though most people around here say seaosn 5 was the least good season, even that season had a few good episodes here and there, like Roller Cowards, I also liked Born To Be Wild and Best Frenemies, I say Friend or Foe wasn't that bad either, and there was also that great Le Big Switch episode.

I like it the way it is...I just think it needs less of a gross factor. Some of my favorite episodes are actually more of the recent ones...like Ditchin', The Slumber Party, Wishing You Well, etc.
