sbss_shipper has a good point. Why would someone wait years to sue? Did he just now realize that there was a show called Spongebob Squarepants?

I have no idea why Troy Walker says that SpongeBob and Bob Spongee have a lot of similarities.
Yeah, and he says "It's more than ironic that two characters are sponges, both are named Bob, and both live in a house complex".
1.) If it wasn't for the name, it would be kinda hard to believe he's a sponge. He looks like just... a square, or a piece of paper.
2.) SpongeBob's name is "SpongeBob". Not "Bob". Plus, I knew that Stephen had created SpongeBob as "Bob" before "Bob Spongee" ever came to be.
3.) Lots of characters live in houses. There's no way the idea of SpongeBob living in a house was stolen from Troy Walker...
SpongeBob lives in a pineapple house, Bob Spongee lives in a regular house, and Troy Walker says that both sponges are unemployed which is not true because SpongeBob is employed by the Krusty Krab.
I think he was referring to the first episode, where he is unemployed and then gets a job.

He claims that he discovered it in 2002.

Well , I either doubt or not dobut that he watched the entire series of Spongebob Squarepants. Because by the time he was doing this , his plan was being structured. Only , it took over a year to at least sue the company that owns the character. If he did watch the entire series , he should've at least said in his mind.

" Hhmph. I guess Bob Spogee isn't related to Spongebob Squarepants after all. I might as well never think of that plan ever again. "

But if he did the switcheroo , then his IQ part of the brain is the size of a Walnut. Simple.

Err... Stephen Hillenburg actually made a comic strip for his character called Bob The Sponge in the 80's. So it's one of the proofs that makes the creator of Bob Spongee fails. Let's just hope we get to see Viacom laughing their asses off on this guy... Live.

If he discovered it in 2002,why wait 5 years to sue? This guy's an idiot! If you're gonna do somthin' like this, you better make sure it actually makes sense first!)which is something troy didn't do.And i'm glad too,cuz i love spongebob and if his claim made sense they might have had to tak SB off the air .) But back to reality here, they're not canceling it,and troy's case will undoubtedly,100% handsdown LOSE.! ALL HAIL SPONGEBOB.MAY HE LIVE ON FOREVER!

Yeah, and why would a guy wait for 5 years to sue? by reading that article and going on the website, it seems like he only watched one episode of Spongebob. He didn't say anything about the personality of Bob Spongee. Spongebob's a child-like underwater version of Jerry Lewis, while Bob Spongee's looking for a job and has a wife and kids. He's like a real kitchen sponge living in the human world.

ya spongebob even got a job and he isn't married. Besides spongebob live in bikini bottom( which is underwater) and Bob Spongee live in the land, there's a big diff. here i mean hello, that guy is like so jealous. OH how i hate people who actually wants to sue spongebob.

I third that. It just sounds like he just altered the name to make it similar to "Spongebob".

I hope Viacom and Steve's lawyers point out that Bob Spongee is nothing like SpongeBob.
