Has anyone really noticed that Spongebob has gradually became more childish since Atlantis Squarepantis aired?

Yes, I've noticed. It's really putting the show on a letdown, don't you agree?

Definitely, it'd be better if SpongeBob was mature.

That's exactly what I'm saying. It's letting the show downhill. Atlantis was the worst episode ever.

I agree. There has been only two episodes in which SpongeBob was mature, and those were Squilliam Returns and Enemy-In-Law.

well, he pretty much always was an idiot like patrick. Just more so now than previous seasons. I don't really care if he's more "childish". It's still spongebob.

Even in those two episodes, he wasn't really 100% mature. It was just because he was a fancy waiter. In Squilliam Returns, he was more mature just because it was earlier in the series. Enemy-in-Law, he isn't as good as a fancy waiter as he used to be.

Well, he doesn't have to mount to Patrick's level.

You do have a good point, but it is Spongebob, he is supposed to be a little kid. But I think their overdoing the stuipitity level of Spongebob just a little bit. I wouldn't mind seeing him at least a little more mature.

Actually, you're right. The episodes in Season 6 are a bit childish, while the episodes in the third and second season were a bit more mature.

And how can Spongebob be a kid if he owns his own house and already graduated high school? It'll be hard to determine his age. But still, he's acting way too babyish lately. And even though it's Spongebob, he's overdoing it.

He was mature in Nautical Nonsense. Remember the manly laugh. That was a season 6 episode.

SpongeBob's smarter then Patrick is. They mationed in the movie documentary that SpongeBob does act like a child at times. This is a kid's show after all.

First off, it's Nautical Novice, and second, the laugh means nothing.
