    Has anyone really noticed that Spongebob has gradually became more childish since Atlantis Squarepantis aired?

    I agree. There has been only two episodes in which SpongeBob was mature, and those were Squilliam Returns and Enemy-In-Law.

    well, he pretty much always was an idiot like patrick. Just more so now than previous seasons. I don't really care if he's more "childish". It's still spongebob.

    Even in those two episodes, he wasn't really 100% mature. It was just because he was a fancy waiter. In Squilliam Returns, he was more mature just because it was earlier in the series. Enemy-in-Law, he isn't as good as a fancy waiter as he used to be.

    And how can Spongebob be a kid if he owns his own house and already graduated high school? It'll be hard to determine his age. But still, he's acting way too babyish lately. And even though it's Spongebob, he's overdoing it.

    SpongeBob's smarter then Patrick is. They mationed in the movie documentary that SpongeBob does act like a child at times. This is a kid's show after all.
