In the pilot movie, Freshman Year, Squidward moves out of the Bikini Bottom leaving Spongebob, Gary, Patrick and even Sandy to move off to High School in the Atlantic Ocean. Squidward starts his first year at High School and meets two new friends, Melina and Daniel.

Melina creates a clone of Squidward, while Daniel creates a chip that makes someone transform into an evil enemy of the person they are. Daniel accidentally looses the chip and it becomes in Melina's clone creating an evil Squidward destroying high school!

The high school is holding a costume party and Squidward forgets to dress up, so using stuff from the high school he tries to turn into a costume. Meanwhile Melina's heel gets lost.
