    How old is Spongebob meant to be?

    I say early 20's, while my wife says he's a child (a child living in his own house and working in a fast food restaurant?).

    He's probably sixteen in the first episode. I think that's how old you have to be to become a fry cook. In Employee of the Month he's around eighteen. By the movie I'd say he's about forty eight.

    I think he's nineteen.
    He's old enough to drive, work, and live on his own. Plus he still looks young.

    How come everybody forgets this: In scenes that show his drivers' license, like when he dreams about getting one or when Mrs. Puff gave him one just to get him off her back, the license clearly says he was born July 9th, 1986, making him 22.

    Oh, sorry. Didn't realize Pokepsonge had already said that--anyways, the official date is 7/9/1986.

    Thanks, that's what I was going to say. And you know it's true because we've seen it TWICE, first on Sleepy Time and then on No Free Rides, the same DOB, so there 'ya go.

    i also read on wikipedia that patrick was born on february 20, 1986
