    In fact, she's the only decent character on the show! Does anybody agree with me?

    You're right, there's also Pearl and Mindy. Besides, I'm being kind in telling you that Sandy Cheeks is intelligent, athletic, fun-loving, and she's no-nonsense. She doesn't play second banana to an idiot like Spongebob. She tells Spongebob what she thinks and she tells Spongebob what he should be doing. You might say that Sandy even creates a space for herself on the show.
