agreed. i see you simply just prefer spongebob to paf... which is fine. i happen to be vice versa, but if hating disney just because it's disney has nothing to do with it that's fine.

Sorry about what I said before to needtogetalife. I didn't know you guys were frustrated about us bashing Phineas and Ferb before. I don't want any flame wars here either. Well hey I can see now you guys love Phineas and Ferb and don't like to see it bashed on, but I love SpongeBob and I hate to see it get bashed on too, its the same way of how I feel about Avatar. Well hey let's not bash these shows that way we can all get along. Anyone want a truce? |

I'm not making any attempts to bash anything right now (Except "The Replacements" and "Hannah Montana"), right now I'm trying to understand chentalsong's rationale in hating Disney and everything on it for, *blank* |

So, you didn't watch it as a kid, you don't watch it now, so where was the part where you actually did watch it and somehow figured out that you don't like everything on it, let me ask, how many episodes of Phineas and Ferb have you watched, exactly? But of course, since every word you post is going to be that you don't like Disney with absolutely nothing to back the argument up, as well as you stating that you can be as childish as you want, which you definitely are, here's what you should do. Leave this thread for now, come back when you're done with your pre-pubescent phase and when you've done that, make an argument that doesn't hinge itself on a fallacy. But like you said, there's other things to talk about, like how you know a whole lot about what shows are on Disney at the moment, despite saying that you don't like it and anything on it, or how you still didn't answer the question that I asked, which was that if Phineas and Ferb aired on a different channel, would you still claim it to be uninteresting and unfunny? |

Well without getting into a flame war, I will state my opinion. SpongeBob is way better than Phineas & Ferb Why I don't like P & F? The plots are stupid, its not funny, Perry The Platypus and his portion of the episodes are retarded, and I could go on and on. I have been a SpongeBob fan all of my life and no matter how far its fallen since the movie ended, I will always love SpongeBob all of my life |

Oh dear.... *sighs* Well, for the sake of all the people who are willing for a truce and a ceasefire between the SpongeBob fans and the PaF fans, I'll resist saying everything that I want to say. Plus, I do respect everyone's right to an opinion. However, there's a different between flaming, and debating. And I do like debating. So, SquidRob, I present to you, some counter-arguments! 1. The plots are stupid. Well, that'd be a lot easier to prove/disprove if you had examples. Personally, I think the plots are creative and unique. You really don't ever see anything like it anymore. 2. It's not funny. I really only have one thing to say to this, and it's I'm sorry that the jokes go over your head. Not meant as an insult, simply a statement. 3. Perry the Platypus is retarded. I'm sorry, but nothing, not even a talking sponge with square trousers, can beat a crime-fighting platypus in a fedora. Nothing. For a much better worded defense of this awesome show, I suggest you take a look at this thread: http://www.tv.com/phineas-and-ferb/show/69897/10-reasons/topic/84395-1231871/msgs.html Maybe then you will have a different opinion, or can at least respect both shows. General eeemeee, out! |

I'm sorry, but I can not be forced to like a show that I don't find interesting. So excuse me for stating my opinions about the show. I have tried to watch Phineas & Ferb, but I just can't get into it. Here are my counter debates to your counter debates 1. The plots are stupid. Ok I get that they are on summer break, but are we suppose to believe that they can actually do all of this stuff on Summer Vacation? The plots have been used before. Technically there is no such thing as unique plots these days. 2. It's not funny The four episodes that I attempted to watch where just not funny. I might have chuckled but never a full laugh like I have done with at least 90% of all SpongeBob episodes 3. Perry The Platypus Come on. A secret agent platypus? Seriously, even Disney channel has done this before. While Rufus from Kim Possible was not a complete secret agent, he did plenty to help Kim and Ron. However Rufus was funny and entertaining, Perry is just dull and boring. |
I don't find the antics, of a sponge and a starfish amusing anymore, unfortiunately........but the antics of two boys who are trying to make the most of summer vacation.......that I can dig. I guess SquidRob, it is a matter of taste or prefence. I did use to like the show when it was funny........in fact, it was one of my favorites on Nickleoden......I still find the show's intro funny. But I respect your opinion and hope that maybe we can come to an understanding and compromise that both shows have thier good things and faults, but this whole thread/debate behind us and enjoy our respective shows as if this never happened. I respect your opinion, as much as I disagree with it.

Listen you guys, I had no clue that their was even a war going on here when I first posted. I should have read the entire thread before even making my comment. Now can we please just agree to disagree. I can't motivate you guys into thinking something that I want you to think, just like you guys can't motivate me into thinking something that you want me to think. And to answer your question needtogetalife, I am 16. I don't like Phineas & Ferb and I am sorry that I restarted the war, but I just can not get into your show. |
EDIT: I do agree that the quality of the show, Spongebob Squarepants has gone down........I wish I could help you guys there.

Thank you for responding. Like I said I had no clue that I started this whole thing up again. Oh and by the way, it was one of the writers who is on the Phineas and Ferb staff. He is now a creator. His name is Dan Povenmire according to IMDB.com. And you are right, its all in a matter of preferences. Sorry P&F fans if anything I said offended you guys. |

It does answer a few things, well I'm sure when you get to 14, or even 15, you'll realise that "Just because" doesn't get you that far, but for now, I take my leave. |
