    I've noticed some parallels between Spongebob and The Flintstones. Here's what I've noticed:

    Spongebob=Fred

    Patrick=Barney

    Mr. Krabs=Mr Slate

    Krusty Krab=Rockhead and Quarry

    Bikini Bottom=Bedrock.

    Spongebob and Fred are the main characters from their shows.

    they're nothing alike though, that sort of analysis could be made out of any two shows but 99.9% of people will say that these shows are very different.

    I have considered Bikini Bottom to be the underwater flipside to Bedrock.

    Yeah if anything Spongebob is more like Rocko's Modern Life than the Flinstones.

    Please try to understand that I'm not just comparing Spongebob to the Flintstones. I can think of other shows to compare Spongebob to, including Rocko's Modern Life, CatDog, and Ren & Stimpy. If I want to compare Spongebob to those shows, I would start a seperate thread. Since it seems like this particular thread is causing problems, I request the editor to put a lock onit.

    That's the only thing in comparison. Nothing else makes them related.

    So... by that logic, you also can say that Spongebob=Spider-man or Spongebob=Mickey Mouse or Spongebob=Clark Kent or, my favorite, Spongebob=Dexter (the homicidal from Dexter, not the kid genius from Dexter's Lab)

    To place that logic in the simplest way, Spongebob=The main character from any show.

    That's... not how it works. You can't say two main characters automatically are similar to eachother just because they are main characters.

    If you were gonna say SpongeBob was similar to another show, I'd go with Wow Wow Wubbzy.
    Both Wubbzy and SpongeBob are similar in many ways other than being the main characters. Both are yellow, male, and very childish, plus have a friend who is an inventor that has a southern accent.
    It makes a lot more sense than the Flintstones
