What I never understood is what the heck is up at the ending of "Doing Time." It just never made any sense to me. All I can make out of it is Mrs. Puff waking up repeatedly in this dream, but that's about it. I can't make any more sense out of it. Could anyone help me understand it better, please?

While SpongeBob and Mrs. Puff were free falling in the car at the beginning of the episode, Mrs. Puff began to daydream the majority of the episode, then she apparently woke up in a dream-within-a-dream-within-a-dream. Sure, it has a confusing ending, but it's still one of my all-time favorite season 3 episodes!

Lol I wonder what happened at the end of the episode in reality.

Ah. That's what it meant. It sure leaves the plot hanging, but I'm happy to finally understand it.

I've always wonder WTF the ending, or honestly the whole second half of the episode was all about. Bad episode, I don't care what anyone says about it.

Yeah. It'd have to be my second least favorite episode from Season 3 (the first being SpongeBob B.C. / Ugh).

The constant waking ups is just a gag on it's own.

Have you noticed that in TV shows someone wakes up and then it turns that it's just a surreal dream rather then them actual waking up and it happens more and more about 3 times?

A parody of some sort. I'm pretty sure I could find a trope for this but I can't post the article because copy/paste isn't allowed.
