SpongeBob was the best in the movie, and a month or so back I went into a long explanation as to why he is.

Aside from that, I like him the best in season three, and two.

I also did think the animation was superb in the movie, I'm glad SB was able to get a great movie such as that with a very memorable adventure, plot, and some quotes like "You're a Goofy Goober Yeah!" Some characters were only assigned for just the movie too and those 3 are Dennis, David Hasslehoff, and Mindy. (The Cyclops might also count.)

Now for the show's seasons, I thought season 1 was interesting, but the best are likely to be seasons 2 and 3, they are considered to be the best of SpongeBob along with the movie after the end of season 3. In seasons 4-6 I don't know why SB's voice got more high-pitched and acts wicked childish in certain episodes, why do the wirters think its a good idea to transform a cooland more mature sponge into a more naive and toddlerish one? That's one of the reasons why its drving away some of the used-to-be audience. (Its not just that however, there are other reasons like disgusting images/particular heavy-duty character bashings, etc.)

Fortunately I think all of that's starting to get better, the majority of the Thanksgiving episodes were pretty good and a couple were even great, at least that's what I think. I really hope this show can rise uphill again, there is always a chance somewhere.

Then that means I never noticed it was like that in the movie, but whatever tone it was, I find it to be a lot better in the movie, which shows that the movie not only had the best kind of animtion, but also superb voice-acting that were set at the best sound levels.

    Here we'll put it simply.

In the movie, he had his new voice, but his old personality. Therefore, he is more calm, and wasn't always shouting and laughing. So his voice wasn't as annoying.

We're talking about SpongeBob himself, not the show itself.

Since I don't feel like retyping it, I'm just going to paste it here from another topic. It's why I like him the most in the movie.

Well I know it's been a while, but finally, I found the time to type this up. It's my view on SpongeBob.

I think that the movie is SpongeBob's best appearance. Yep, he's even better here than in the television series.

    Why?

Because look at him as a whole. Think about what he goes through in the movie. He's lost. He's trying to find his place in the movie, who he is. SpongeBob goes on an adventure to prove that he's not a kid. He doesn't want people calling him a kid and telling him that he can't do something. He wants to help his friends. In the movie, SpongeBob is going through STRESS.

"I'm ready. Depression. I'm ready. Depression."

Now think about the movie itself. What audience is it directed at? It's too mature for little kids, so what is it?
Of course, the movie is directed at older kids, and TEENAGERS, like most people here.

"But I'm not a kid! I can do it!"

Now think about teenagers themselves. What do they go through before becoming adults? Don't they think about things like their future and WHO THEY ARE? Don't teens often get patronized? How many teenagers out there go through STRESS with different difficulties?

"I've been through a lot in the past six days five minutes twenty and a half seconds. And if I've learned anything during that time, it's that you are who you are."

After his adventure, SpongeBob learns to just be who he is: a kid.

How about situations that teenagers go through? I myself am one of those people who never have and never will bow into peer pressure, but so many others out there do. Parents will constantly tell their kids "be yourself". BE YOUSELF: WHO YOU ARE.

In the end, what advantages does SpongeBob have in the episodes that he lacks in the movie? He's more consistently funny? He has a deeper voice?

Sure, I doubt there are any real talking sponges out there, but when you get down to it, doesn't SpongeBob have many qualities in the movie that the main audience can relate to? I don't see SpongeBob in the series as quite that level. Heck, as much as I like the SpongeBob in the series, I must admit that there are times where he is one dimensional, particularly post season three episodes.

So that's my opinion about SpongeBob, and it should show why he's my third favorite character of all time.
