SpongeBob can cry for the dumbest reasons sometimes. Broken Spatula, ruined toy, damaged card, youre fired!, he doesn't want to grow up, covered with seanut butter and taco shells and I can go on and on.

Hey, but wouldn't you weep, too if you got fired from the greatest job in the world or lost a super rare card with your role models on it?

Agreed, crying because he got fired is not a dumb reason, especially in this economy crisis lol.

and it kinda depends on how i lost the rare card for me to cry.

SpongeBob is just really sensetive. Anyone would cry if they lost their dream job, their most prized possesion was ruined, their pet ran away, or if you got messy before a school photo.

As said in Square Roots: Spongebob is very optimisic. He sees fun in everything,a nd is always innocent and happy. As a result, when the slightest thing goes wrong, it gets to him

    Kinda agree.
We only shed man tears, not sob, only shed the tears when a comrade dies, when your loved ones are in pain, or something else that is horrible and manly like that.

@The Card One: oh, i felt the pain, i once almost cried when i lost my Secret Rare Blue-Eyes White Dragon card, i was almost ten.
@The School Picture: Yeah, i mean, like, if you get dirty for the picture, like, no boy is gunna ask you for the dance.

Crying's a part of life, everone cries once in a while. SpongeBob to me in the show doesn't cry too often, and when he does cry, they all seem perfectly reasonable. Wouldn't you be sad if you lost your favorite pet snail? The only episode they might have overdid it was All That Glitters, but they probably just wanted to add on some extra drama in the episode, and sadness emotions for SpongeBob, I still think crying is perfectly fine.

I said "A true man cries", and guys are suppose to be sensitive that is how you get girls. Chicks dig sensitivity

I don't. I like guys that are strong and tough that won't freak out and cry very often. SpongeBob doesn't cry too much in the show, the situations did at least have a good reason, except for All That Glitters, it was just taken way over the top to try and add more drama and emotions of sadness in the episode.

Agreed, except I thought it was funny when Patrick imitated his crying

    Yeah, but
1.- Girls don't like guys who are TOO emotional, unless they're the kind that want to fix a guy.
2.- When a girl is involved, a 10-99% of all man rules can be discarded.

He does cry often, but I guess it's part of his character. After all, he's a Cancer, us Cancers are pretty sensitive and emotional, it all makes sense

Well, he did it in a funny way in Karate Choppers and Grandma's Kisses and in a reasonable way in Clams, but in All That Glitters(All Those Tears), he acted too babyish.

I All That Glitters, the only reason he cried a lot was because he lost the thing he holds nearest and dearest to his heart.

I know he loves his spatula, but SpongeBob is supposed to be a teenager/adult and he acted like a complete psycho path, and 10 times more childish than Lazlo....over a kitchen utensile.

You're right ultimatekey, real men DO cry, and girls LOVE guys that are sensitive...well I do, anyway. I don't SpongeBob cries too much in every scenario...I think he has pretty good reasons to cry most of the time. I think he takes over the top sometimes and it gets annoying, but it's just a part of who he is.
