First off, I would like to say that I hated this show since Season 4, though I loved seasons 1-3.

I hate this show now. I am going to do a little comparison of how Nicktoons network is better and how can Nickelodeon do the same.

How many episodes does Nickelodeon air that show: About 5-6 hours a day. LITERALLY. And they usually air seasons 4 and above. They also air marathons of this almost everyday.

    Example:

Tomorrow they will air 4 episodes, Thursday they will air 15 episodes from 2:00-10:00, Friday they will air 10 episodes, and on Saturday 8 episodes. (Check Nickelodeon's crappy schedule for proof.)

NICKTOONS NETWORK HOWEVER IS THE OPPOSITE:

How many episodes does it show? 2 each day. What time? From 9:00-10:00 PM. What seasons? Seasons 1-3, my favorite!

That's why I like Nicktoons network. I also think Nickelodeon should do the same thing.

I personally disagree. Sure, seasons 1-3 were the golden seasons IMO, but it's not like the ALL the newer episodes are just a bunch of bullhonky. Nickelodeon doesn't mainly air seasons 4-7, they air episodes from each season evenly. For example, when I come home from school and turn on the TV to Nick, usually I see an episode from season 1-3. Oftentimes, the case is half the episodes Nick airs in one day are from season 1-3, and the other have are from seasons 4-6.

I do, however, agree that Nickelodeon greatly overplays SpongeBob on their network. They air, like two marathons each day, which gets to be annoying to us devouted fans of the show who have seen every episode and get tired with a bunch of reruns. I know I do. I guess Nick does it because they're having a slow time coming out with new shows that get top ratings. For now, the shows that are keeping Nick alive are SpongeBob and iCarly.

Nicktoons Network is okay if you are only a fan of the classic episodes of SpongeBob, like I know a lot of people are and if you are tired of SpongeBob being shown everyday. I personally think they should show more newer episodes, but I have they're focusing more on showing classic Nickelodeon shows and original series (those of which I think are crap, but Kappy Mikey was kind of good).

On Thursday from 2 to 10? That's impossible, Nick @ Nite starts at 9! You know, I have to partly agree with you, but Nick has on their hands the top cartoon show for the last 7 years or so, and it gets fantastic ratings each week, no matter what episode is on. So, what are they going to do? Air the crap out of the show just to get more viewers. Lately, they've been a little more modest regarding the way they air it, like sometimes they just air a half-hour segment at 8pm and air another show at 8:30pm instead of doing one hour of SpongeBob, the same at 2pm, they air FOP at 2:30pm. And then SpongeBob from 4pm to 6pm, just 2 hours, which is OK. They air SB on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30am to 8:30am, but they do the same with Back at the Barnyard on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anyway, my point is that Nick those things like this with many of it's shows, but they try to highlight SpongeBob because it's their best show. As for the seasons that air, I think it's totally random, only except that they don't air the season 2 and 3 specials often, unlike with the two season 4 specials that air all the time (Dunces and Dragons and Have you Seen this Snail?). As for Nicktoons Network, they have more shows they need to cover, so that's why they can't air SB all the time, but you do have to admit that thye overplay Avatar.

Ok, that has to be the longest post I've ever done here I'm bored...

Nicktoon's Network sounds like the better choice if you're an Avatar fan...

Yeah Nick does play SpongeBob a lot, but it's about their only great cartoon they have left these days, because sadly there's so much crap cartoons out there *cough Mighty B cough* and I don't think there is any other cartoon show running now that can be as legendary as SpongeBob and boost up the ratings to get mass amounts of the green stuff (money) as good as SpongeBob can do it! So SpongeBob is Nick's savior these days, and I guess iCarly is too, even though I've been hearing more people are starting to despise it now though. Avatar may have ended but they should still air it more, especially since not everyone has Nicktoon's Network. Nicktoon's Network to me sounds like it is a pretty rare channel. They also should air Jimmy Neutron more because I miss it dearly. But at least they are still airing Drake and Josh because that was quite a hit.

Well I guess Nick right now is just doing great by airing SpongeBob SquarePants because so many kids out there love it, and adults love it too, but probably the first three seasons more. Fotunately Nick has reduced some of SpongeBob's air time just to have other shows be given a chance to also be loved by Nick viewers.

Who cares if they keep replaying avatar on NN, atleast that show has a point and it's awesome, not some sponge who makes some disturbing laugh 24/7 and loves a starfish.

And now you are contradicting yourself. You have a problem with SpongeBob getting overplayed on Nickelodeon, but you don't have a problem with Avatar getting overplayed on Nicktoons Network. Seriously I'd watch what you say on these boards because everyone that frequently posts here are SpongeBob fans and we don't like it when our show gets insulted.

As for the point of this topic, the reason Nickelodeon overplays SpongeBob is because it has the highest ratings on Nickelodeon. However, they air the heck out of it and that does get a little annoying but what else does Nick have?

iCarly has been going downhill really fast and losing viewers too, The Mighty B is not that great, Drake & Josh is on reruns, The Fairly Oddparents might be done since Wishology seems like its the series finale but I could be wrong, The Naked Bros Band is just tv movies now, Back at the Barnyard I don't know whats up with that show, Tru Jackson and The Penguins of Madagascar are too new. So SpongeBob is the only ratings that Nick has to brag about. Kids love it and so do adults. It may not be what it once was, but its good enough for Nick to gain viewers

Who reported my post? I wasen't insulting you or anybody directly, I was talking about the show. God, fans these days.

Anyway, Nick has a BUNCH of options. They could air Ren & stimpy, or Catdog. Those shows are much better then the sponge. Why does Nickelodeon think that Spongebob, Back in the barnyard, Drake and josh, and Icarly are their only shows?

(No offense to any fans, I'm just stating my opinion which I'm entitled to.)

It's not just Nickelodeon the one that is not airing it's old shows, most networks don't air any of their old shows anymore, because, well, they're old, as much as people love them. You don't see Cartoon Network airing The Powerpuff Girls, do you? or MTV airing Daria? or Disney Channel airing Lizzie Mcguire? or whatever, you get my point. The thing is that they have to air their newer shows because people want to see things they haven't seen yet, and if a show that is considered old for running a long time, like SpongeBob's 10 years, and still has new episodes and high on ratings, it's logical it'll air frequently. Besides, Nick is getting rid of SB's 8pm slot since they're starting to air Ned's Desclassfied for a change, and for people like you stop complaining

Well, SpongeBob can be a great show too, and we SpongeBob fans think the show is at least making some improvements after the dreaded season 5, and even if you disagree, Nick has been trying to open up some more room for other shows to have time slots, but they should air Drake and Josh more often and bring back Danny Phantom and CatDog. Besides, if you love seasons 1-3 of SpongeBob SquarePants, then you shouldn't be complaining since the episodes in those seasons air often on Nickelodeon and not just season 4-6 episodes.

Of course, if Nick did air more Avatar as well, even though it ended just like what they're doing with Drake and Josh, I'm sure we wouldn't be having this problem.

SpongeBob is the most popular show on Nickelodeon, and probably the most popular kids' cartoon. Also, I have seen NN air Have You Seen This Snail? once, but that was a while ago. Nick does not only show seasons 4-7, I mean, sure, Seasons 1-3 were the best, but I really liked Seasons 4-7 and Nick keeps a nice balance of NOT AIRING EPISODES THAT AIRED TWO HOURS EARLIER.

Put yourself in the shows of a network executive. You have to plan a schedule that has a few hours of preschool programming during weekdays, an entire nighttime schedule of old family sitcoms including George Lopez, and the rest of the schedule to aim at regular kids and preteens. You have 5 cartoons and 3 live action shows that are currently running and a couple or more shows that has ended production, but still have popularity. One of those cartoons is getting phenomenal ratings and the rest are really new and you're still trying to build their fanbase. You're thriving on your live action shows and that one particular cartoon with the good ratings. If you've got nothing else to show the isn't old and has a dissolved fanbase, how would set up the schedule?

Nicktoons network airs Season 4 if their was a special occasion. (Thanksgiving is the most recent)

Though, NICKELODEON airs Seasons 4-7 the most. I know it's popular, but REALLY! Does it need ALL of those timeslots? I mean, that's just ridiculous having a 4-7 hour marathon everyday.

Ok then, on the weekdays they have a tight schedule. But on the WEEKEND Nick JR is not around, so they have from 6AM-10PM on saturdays, and 6AM-9PM on sundays.

17 hours of programs on saturdays. 16 hours of programs on sudays

    How it should work

2 hours of back in the barnyard,

1 hour of Penguins of madagascar

    4 hours of Icarly

    5 hours of Spongebob

2 hour of others (Drake and josh, Mighty b, or FOP)

Fair? This equals 14 hours of your regular programs, leaving 2-3 hours of classics they could air.

    It's better then nothing!

Here's a simple and non-long suggestion, stop watching Nickelodeon and watch more of Nicktoons Network & stop complaining?

    How can't I?

First off, on Nicktoons network their showing a bunch of commericals about Nickelodeon and their crappy icarly show, and new episodes of Spongebob.

(NO OFFENSE to any fans of Icarly or spongebob)
