A new Spongebob DVD called Friend or Foe containing episodes from Season 5 will be released on April 17, 2007. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=6756
These new episodes will probably air before then but atleast we know the names of some new upcoming episodes.

I know, I don't understand why they spread the episodes so far out apart. They should air the final 4 and a half episodes from January-February and start Season 5 sometime between March and May.

If Nick does that then the DVD, will air most unaired episodes like Whale of A Birthday had. They should do what FOP did and air a week of brand new episodes at 5:00 PM and re-air them at any other time. Then they can continue with their regular airing schedule for Season 5.
I hope Season 5 is like Season 3 and the 2nd half of Season 4. (Animation and Jokes)

Well, there are about seven episodes needed to be airing in Season 4

I don't think all of those episodes will be direct to DVD, most will probasbly air on TV first and then a couple Direct to DVD.
