    Nickelodeon Home Entertainment will release SpongeBob SquarePants: The First 100 Episodes DVD set ($99.9 on September 22.

    Nickelodeon is billing the DVD set as the first SpongeBob collector's edition. It has more than 36 hours of episodes and bonus features, including commentary from Tom Kenny.

    So a S 1-5 box set eh?

    So it will cost 100.00 bucks *runs off to do math*

    20.00 Bucks a season for that, If you brought all the seasons/season halves off of amazon, you would pay about 22.00 bucks per thing.

    Bottom line, sounds like a good deal.

    Heard about this earlier today, and it sounds awesome, but I don't think I'll be getting it since I already have most of the season DVDs, and I could always sell them to get this one, but only the special features will tell.

    Sweet, I could go for that DVD seasons 1-5 box set!

    So that means all the episodes from those five seasons are included... next they should make a seasons 1-6 box set, or just wait until season seven's over to make a seasons 1-7 box set.

    September's gonna be a good month this year with cool SpongeBob DVD box sets coming out that month!

    I still think they should stick to season sets alone. But then again, I guess that this is good if people don't own any other sets. But honestly, if you already own the traditional season sets so far, I recommend that you don't even get this. I am saying this for your own good. Special features and other stuff are good, however just know that this set will probably be very expensive.

    yay, thats 5 days before my birthday, i will definetly be sure to get this, and i bet every huge fan will get it too. who wouldn't get it, the first 100 is every epi between seasons 1-5

    I only now took the moment to realize that this will cost $100 ! So guys, for your own good, if you already own the episodes, then I repeat, DON'T get this. It will be like throwing away $100. You can even save that money for season 6 volumes 1 & 2, and the future season 7 volumes 1 & 2. Because those four items together will probably be the same price as this upcoming set.

    Yeah I agree, good point. No way am I spending 100 dollars on that. I'm saving my hard-earned cash for other favs of mine like a Nintendo DSi, some new video games, and other special merchandise that catches my interest. (Maybe I'll also get that Wii Fit.) But I'm sure I'll use my money to get the volumes/DVD sets for season 6 and 7 cos they sound good too.

    That's good. I mean, if people haven't already bought the episodes, then I guess this is great, considering that this set will cost less than all the season sets together. However if you already own the episodes, what's the point?

    Don't get the Wii Fit, it's like GH or RB, it's ok, but people blow it way over proportion saying it's awesome because they can't really play a real game >.> (Nothing against Guitar Hero or Rock Band [Rock Band is much better since it's just two games, the second allowing you to transfer songs from the first and every 2-4 weeks has new ones for download] but they're not that great, and more than a videogame, they're emulators.)

    Well, IMO, if you don't own the episodes and want to have them, buy this set, it'll surely be worth it if you don't already have the episodes.

    If it's a combined set of seasons 1-5, then should it technically be the first 196 episodes?

    This box set sounds a really cool gift for a fan of SpongeBob, but very expensive. I'm not buying it either, because I already have the box sets for seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 vol. 2; and the rest of the episodes I own on single themed DVDs.

    It's a good idea for those who don't own any SpongeBob DVDs. But I own 3. It seems like a waste of money for those who already have SpongeBob DVDs. I think someone said before how you could buy Season 6 and 7 for the same price. It really depends. On Amazon, a DVD can be as cheap as 11 bucks.

    Well this set will be $100.

    The season volumes cost about $25, so...

    Season 6 Volume 1 + Season 6 Volume 2 + Season 7 Volume 1 + Season 7 Volume 2 = $100

    These you go! Something better to save your money for if you already own the episodes!
