so, since i haven't been here for a few days, some news: on saturday we visited family. it was OK, kinda weird on sunday i went to church for the first time in... months. I used to go with my grandmother (may she RIP ) but she started getting too sick for us to go. I went sunday with my mom. i have a cold... I've had one for a couple days i go back to school in one week. Junior year Next Tuesday the 13th season of Simpsons comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray. I'm getting the DVD of it.

Sorry about your grandma (may she R.I.P.). That sucks you've got to go back to school, I've got like 3 weeks, 2 weeks 'till I get my schedule, but still, and that's nice about the Simpsons. When I finally get some more money (I had money, but I had to spend it on something important to help me out during school) I'm going to get Season 8 on DVD, because that's my personal favorite season.

s8 is also my favorite season (The Springfield Files being my favorite episode). I plan on buying all the seasons at one point, even though I'm one of the many who think it started to decline

I agree, The Simpsons went downhill. It has its moments now, but its just not that mirthful.

After S9 the show lost most of it's charm, and while I do admit that they can still produce a killer episode or 2, I think s20 and 21 are just horrible overall

for me, the 'golden era' of the show is 3-8. Even though 8 is my favorite seaon, you still can't do wrong with 3-7. One and two were more introductory seasons to the show I think. They weren't overtly funny but they had their moments. Seasons 9-12 were average/mediocre/somewhat terrible. I haven't seen 13-15 for a while. 16 was OK, 17-18 were average, 19 was 'good' by post-classic era standards, 20-21 were absolutely terrible (I Think between those two seasons there are TWO episodes I actually like). Honestly if s22 is as bad I'm done with the show

I do enjoy 3-7 also (season 5 has my favorite episode, "Cape Feare") and I agree with you on 100% the other seasons

I'm planning to watch the whole seasons on dvd. At least, the ones wich are availeble on DVD. Tvroundtheclock took them with him when he came back from the states. I have yet to buy season 1 and 5 and everything after season 7.

It's just impossible IMO to dislike or hate seasons 3-7 (unless you're not a fan of the show....). They are seriously some of the best comedy on TV.

I really don't get the love for season 20 some people have(a fan on the Nohomers Club ranks itas hisfavorite season overall! WHAT??). I honestly think the HD has something to do with it. It was new... it was different... it was HD. i mean i still respect their opinions, butIstrongly disagree with them

It's incredibly tough to not enjoy s3-7, just too funny not to. As for s20, I don't watch cartoons in HD (it's stupid, I tried watching South Park on it and there was barely any real difference) so I don't really see the huge deal, I think s20 for the most part was weak, especially considering how good s19 was (by post-classic standards) maybe an episode or 2 that stood out, but nothing special I think

i agree with SleepingDeath0-it is kind of annoying. i know i was obviously part of it but i just feel so strongly about it. it's a shame when a show you like goes downhill so far. anyone else have anything to talk about?

showrunner al jean has mentioned they haven't even started talking about the final episode. So... it WILL end, just... nobody knows when.

even though i lost my grandmother in February, i still expect to see her... like when i walk in the house after i get home from school i'm expecting her to be in the living room watching TV...
