i just don't get why being a noob automatically makes you a bad member... of course you're not as experienced as someone who has been here longer, but that goes with anything, such as getting a job, it doesn't make you a 'bad' person just because you're new.

anyways i've been here a year today. woo
That's not what I mean, really. I usually just call new members new members, and it's as simple as that. Noobs, however, are people that still ACT very new, even after months and months of being on a site, they behave immaturely and have atrocious grammar. But that's just my two cents.

I agree, other people's opinions on you don't matter as long as you're a good person.

Yeah, being a "new user" is of course nothing bad. I guess the real "noobs" (like 70sguy described it) are people who tend to get on people's nerves and don't seem to learn. One example is a user here named NathanJR94, who posted here quite frequently before being banned for reasons I'm not sure about. A bunch of users resented him, since he tended to act stupid (in their opinions) and he would keep annoying users with his excessive Malcolm in the Middle role-playing, despite users telling him to stop. But yeah, new users are nothing bad. The generations here keep changing, and three years from now, we'll have a completely different set of users active here.
