    Since they've been in two episode without their names in title, could this mean there will be no more episodes named after them? I think so. I mean, I don't want to see a "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy10" or something. I wonder if it will also mean they will be in the show more often now.

    Mermaid Man's name was in the title of "Mermaid Man vs. SpongeBob".

    Possibly the crew didn't want the titles to seem so repetitive, so they changed the names.
