Squidward has easily been hatable recently. I know SpongeBob can be annoying, but Squid is a real jerk to just treat him like crap no matter what. Sponge SAVED HIS LIFE in one episode, yet by the end of the episode he was back to treating Sponge like dirt. Plus, he acts like he's so much better than everyone else when in reality he's a failure.

I once enjoyed Squid's character, but the writers seem to have made him more mean and bitter in recent seasons.
