    Okay im a huge spongebob fan and like me and my friends used to see how much stuff we could find out about the show ,like little known facts. does any body any kind of cool little known facts they would loke to share. im curios to see how much people know.

    SpongeBob was supposed to be called SpongeBoy, but that name was taken, so the Y was changed to B.

    SpongeBob's first name is Robert, Sandy's is Sandra.

    Squidward's middle name is Johanssen.

    SpongeBob was born on July 14, 1986.

    Mr. Krabs was born on November 30, 1942.

    In the early 1990s, Stephen Hillenburg made a comic about Bob the Sponge.

    Patrick is stupid because starfish don't have brains.

    Brain coral (from Patrick SmartPants) is real.

    There are so far 5 episodes (as in the full 22 minutes, not just 11) without Patrick.

    The name SpongeBoy was actually taken by a mop brand.  I always thought that was so funny. I wonder how Steve Hillenburg looked when he found out the name of his creation was taken by a MOP.

    I kinda like SpongeBob better though..........

    You may have seen this in "A Closer Look" on Nick, but on Jimmy Neutron: Rescue Jet Fusion, when they go deep into the ocean you can see a fair glimpse of Spongebob's pineapple.
