SpongeBob SquarePants: King Neptune?

This has probably been brought up thousands of times, but why is there a different Neptune in the Sopngebob movie than in the normal series, in which he appeared in 3 episodes, including the new special?

The Neptune in Neptune's Spatula and Neptune's Party is Neptune the 14th.
The one in the movie is a different one.

Up until the movie, Neptune had only appeared in "Neptune's Spatula". After the movie he started to get shown more, and they decided to bring back the old King Neptune. And also I thought he appeared in more than 3 episodes?

I can only recall 3, 1 before the movie and 2 after.

I know that he appeared in Neptune's Spatula, SpongeBob Vs. The Patty Gadget, and Clash Of Triton, but I thought there was another one.

Both versions of King Neptune are the same. If one's different....then Mindy might not exist.
