    I've just noticed that in the episode when squidward gets into crabby patties, they cut out the part with the gas security and everything exploding. Why do you think this is?

    Probably it was too stupid and didn't make sence , too eat too much and explode . Although isn't that the point?

    It was due to the devistation over subject of fire after the September 11, 2001 attacks.
