In the middle of last year, I noticed Spongebob was celebrating 10 years. That got me thinking: Since merchandise has sold in the billions and there's already been a movie in theaters, along with Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and the Simpsons does Spongebob deserve a star on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame? Yes or No and Why?

It SHOULD, but it won't. It's the best thing on Nick right now, but it's not good enough. Bugs Bunny is the staple on Looney Toons, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are the single greatest characters (and Goofy) in cartoon history, and they were created in the 20s (with Steam Boat Willy, being the first "show" Mickey appeared in). The Simpsons is well over 500 episodes, and has been on since the early 80s, and is the only cartoon keeping Fox alive. Spongebob, while great, just can't compete with those, although, I think it will get a Star eventually, just not now.

I'd like it to... Don't know whether it will though. It would be cool certainly.

I agree with terminoob. It would be awsome if Spongebob got a star, but I don't think it's gonna happen(at least not for a while).

Spongebob is a great show and we all love it and we all think it deserves a star. But it just isn't that BAM! kind of great.

It really should get a star, but it's highly unlikely. SpongeBob is a very popular show, not just for kids, but it is underrated by those who don't watch it. The SpongeBob movie, which got VERY, VERY, VERY good reviews, was not even considered for an Oscar, and instead, Shark Tale, which got pretty bad reviews, was nominated for an Oscar. Yes, SpongeBob is loved by the Annies, though!

But you're right, SpongeBob deserves a star. It might not get one for a while, but we can still enjoy it until then!

I think it will, but probably many years after it's over.

Absolutely deserves it and I'm almost sure it will someday. I mean, if the Rugrats got one, why not SpongeBob? Rugrats got it for it's 10th anniversary, and SpongeBob, at it's 10th annie is more popular than the Rugrats ever were. So, I say it will happen soon.

I highly doubt Spongebob is currently more popular than the Rugrats at their peak, they were simply awesome back in the day, then Dill came along and they were decent, then Kimmy and the episodes were just too far away from their charm... Still, the movies before those changes were incredibly good.

I think there is a very high chance of SpongeBob getting a star. I mean, the show has sold hundreds of thousands of different types of merchandise and is always on the top in the ratings. Most kids are just crazy about SB, and so are their parents. SpongeBob is way more popular than Rugrats ever was, and therefor it needs a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (and an Emmy).

I think they put Kimi on the show so that Tommy would have a friend that shared similar qualities. They were both brave and outgoing. She was like his mini girlfriend.
