    I think yes and no. Yes,because i researched the man behind the voice and he is said to be gay and ONLY gets "feminine" parts(and don't u think if  the person that does spongebob is wacked out then the character must be as well? And no because well he's just a cartoon(but what truly goes on behind the humor of the sponge?)THE WORLD MIGHT NEVER KNOW.

    At times he is to make the show funnier. And no Tom Kenny (Spongebob's voice actor) isn't gay I think it's just that sometimes he makes the voice a little too high-pitched (mainly in Season 4). Sponges are actually both sexes.
