    Does anyone think season five is going EXTREMELY fast? I mean, it started early 2007, and now, late 2007, it is almost over. After tonight, they will be going on to episode 89, meaning two episodes until season five is over...
    ... maybe this means the show will really end in 2008 .

    Yes, it is. This is because they air a bunch of episodes all at once. Spread 'em out, and even take a while, because lately the episodes aren't that good.

    Okay, hold it.

    1. I swear, this is the most common misconception among fandom. For the 100th time, the creators don't choose if a series gets renewed or not. That's the programmers and the company.

    2. Where'd you get the information that states this from? a link to verify would be helpful. Because I've seen several sourses saying a 6th season has already been purchased. And seeing how it's the only animated show to hold a spot in the top 10 on Neilsen ratings, and ratings to programmers = everything, the chances of it getting canceled soon are about as unlikely as it gets. Proof Plz

    Actually, it IS somewhat up to the creators a bit. If the creators don't want to continue it, the show doesn't continue. If Nickeldeon gives them a chance for a seventh season but the creators don't know if they want to do it, the can quit and the show would be ended.

    ... yeah... season six is currently scheduled to be thirteen episodes long. Add that to the two episodes left of season five, and it comes out to fifteen.

    Actually, there's about 3 episodes of season five left. I'm pretty sure there will be about 20 epoisodes like the rest of the seasons, so there is AT LEAST 23 episodes left. Nick is gonna probably give it a seventh season and it will probably go past 2009 into the 2010's. That's what will probably happen since Nick thinks that Spongebob is C***** himself.

    Actually you guys, season 5 IS over. How do I know this you ask? Because we all now there is 40 episodes in a season and I went to the episode list and I counted37 episodes. So 37 + Rise and Shine/Waiting/Sing a Song of Patrick,= 40 episodes!

    If so, I say so long, and don't let the door hit ya on the way out. The episodes are less funny, and the only season 5 episodes I've laughed at are sing a song of Patrick, and the two faces of Squidward. Otherwise, this season has been all not funny, gross humor. Nick needs to straighten up and fly right. Bring back the funny shows with good morals like Hey Arnold and Animaniacs. And for the love of god, cancel Spongebob, FOP & Jimmy Neutron. They are not funny anymore. As for spongebob, show some of the funny season 3 ones. I would do anything to get the old nicktoons back.
