    Spongebob and Patrick are SUPPOSED to be stupid.... Thats their character. Its very funny.

    To answer your question, I think that Patrick's stupidity has remained the same in Season 5 than in other seasons. The season that he wasthe dumbest was in Season 3.

    To say that Patrick is more stupid in Season 5 would imply that he was less stupid in earlier seasons. Personally, I think he has been very dim from the beginning, and that's part of his charm.

    Yeah, his best charm is mostly in season 1.
