Well, he's taken his driver's test 37, uh, 38 times. And you start when you're 16! Holy Texas! I would still say around 20 anyways.

spongebob can't be 20 cause he acted like a baby in grandma kisses and in the movie they say spongebob is a kid so i think he won't be 20 or above

Well it seems as if Spongebob and Patrick are the same age, and in the Bully one, Patrick talks about college, so he is probally in his mid 20's.

Well Spongebob must be more than 16 since he has applied to a job at the Krusty Krab. He seems to be a bit of a kid (ice cream, jellyfishing, blowing bubbles etc.) so he's a frat boy (an immature young adult). His driver's license says that his birth year is in 1986 and the current year is 2006 which means that he's 20 now.
So 20-27 FTW!
