    that's stupid, I don't see the harm in quoting someone even if the post was posted a couple years ago, I don't see the sense in it

    We don't make the rules, we just have to abide them. 99% percent of forums have this rule so there's obviously a reason.

    IDK but there are several reasons why you shouldn't bump...
    One of 'em is that if you bump old threads, recent importent threads will be disordered and could be moved to another page.

    I actually thought it was never a problem. I have seen a lot of posts where the last post was posted a year later then the recent post. Not on here but on another forum

    No, they're not THAT important, they're just more important than dead threads from months, sometimes years ago. Only very important threads get stickied (in fact if you ask me, we have too many already).
