Okay, in my opinion, this possibly is an underrated episode, because I think that it is one of the few rare miraculous GOOD season 5 episodes. Anybody else here think this episode is great?
Here's why I love the episode and think its great!
That "Sun Fun Island here we come!" song was good and catchy! I like clapping and singing along with that music! "Sun Fun Island here we come!"
Also, I loved the scenes where SpongeBob and Patrick were at the Prison Camp, and that general guy (what was his name again?) is funny! I think he did a good job at talking and with facial expressions, and movements! This part was good: He had SpongeBob and Patrick punished by being in a hole filled with hot rancid sauce of only God knows what for them doing an unrequested sound-off! But SpongeBob and Patrick make it through when Patrick drank all the bath water.
This is my favorite part: When SpongeBob and Patrick are finished working on their stage set to impress the generals/prison wardens/whoever they were and they also have a wooden steam boat set up in the water. One of the prisoners realizes that this could be their ticket out of the prison, so when the play is over, they decide to escape by using it! BTW I also thought that play song they did was also a good one! "Together, TOGETHER!! To-Geth-ER!!!!" And the crowd cheers! Bravo!
Once the prisoners fail at escaping, they are all shackled up and the Sun Fun Island Camp Counselor come to pick up SpongeBob and Patrick.
Pretty good ending: SB and Patrick along with the prisoners are forced to do Macaroni Sculptures as a suprising heavy form of punishment!
So now the rest of you guys can tell your opinion on this episode now!
And this is my 1,500th forum post! Whoo-hoo!
