It has something to do with his dad, his dad taught him the importance of money or something, he gave him a dollar, and he spent it on a soda(this was on krusty krab training video), he loved it like a brother. Apparently, his dad must have been poor(no offense!).

I thought he was greedy because when he was growing up he was poor. Then when he learned about money he made sure to have as much as he could when he grew up.

Mr. Krabs was obsessed when he spotted a penny, it became useful to him even when he recieved a dollar from his father, then Plankton knows how useful business was for making money, but the food poisoning had them in a fight, until the secret formula was told for Mr. Krabs, Plankton and Mr. Krabs were not friends anymore, the Chum Burgers were appaling, but Mr. Krabs' burgers, now named ''krabby patties,'' were the most finest. He dreamed of a place that could be made of money, in business, he recieved his first dollar. When he was in the 50's he gave the frycooking job to Spongebob, when Mr. Krabs was in the 60's, and Spongebob was now 22, one fact about Mr. Krabs was he became a cheapskate, Plankton arisen with jealousy, and Mr. Krabs hates everything FREE!

Oh, yeah, that was funny, when he was walking through the mall in a cardboard box(embarassing), and his love of his life was a penny on the ground(weird! Oh, yeah, he bought the balloon for Plankton, and it floated away, along with Plankton. By the way NegiSpoigie, dont forget to got to my other topic "Invasion of the lava king: episode 2".

Also, Mr. Krabs saved his first dollar and framed it when they first went into business, which can be seen in "Wet Painters". That's something I just noticed.

I thought it was a combination of the penny he found on the dock, and Stinky from Friend or Foe, that got him addicted to money.
