now this may be a stupid question... but who is scooter? everyone has been talking about him and i cant figure out who he is..its driving me crazy!

hes some kind of fish that is seen through out the series. hes like a flounder or something and has a surfer accent and laughs strange. hes was killed in bubble boy when spongebob buried him in the sand and left him there until the tide drowned him, but he came back in "mermaid man and barnacle boy IV" the ep where spongebob shrinks bikini bottom

People seem to think that the fish from SquidBob TentaclePants was Scooter but with a different voice. He looked nothing like Scooter!
