It's definetly underrated. I thought it was pretty good. i wouldn't say it's the best season, but it's the third best, after Seasons 3 and 5.

some were good but some were just poor I think sponge-Bob actually running out of ideas

S3 Rules . S5 comes after . Then S4 . S1 right after . S2 is far behind . The best episodes in that season are 7.5 / 10 . Plus there are only 7 episodes that receive 7.5 / 10 . The rest are 5 / 10 and below .

What I think is that season 4 did not improve itself whatsoever. Sure, it got a TINY bit better after New Leaf, but still, it stinks. They were using weird and disturbing "adult" jokes that really didn't fit in since the last seasons, not to mention the completerevamp of character personalites. Spongebob got WAY more annoying, Patrick got WAY more stupid, and Squidward got WAY more underrated. I also liked the animation better in season 3. YES, I KNOW YOU WILL SAY IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL! But still, I don't like how they make Spongebob go from one emotion to the next and his face kind of loks different now. Well there ends my rant.

S4 has some of my least favorite episodes . But S5 would have been better if it would change characters . I mean in every episode Squidward , Mr. Krabs , and Patrick . Out of all the episodes so far , Patrick has appeared 22 times , Squidward appeared 22 times , and Mr. Krabs 17 times . Sandy only appeared 4 times . Larry had appeared only 1 time .
