people here suck! (reviews saying he's gay) nobody ever mentions other cartoon characters being gay, like bugs for kissing elmer. but they had to target spongebob just because he's the modern cartoon icon

    i know spongebob is'nt g*y

Yeah, they dont need to change Spongebob's character at all but they just gotta stop overdoing it with him and Patrick. I mean if anyone's even seen the movie, we know that Patrick likes Mindy the mermaid! and at the beginning they were sending hints about Sandy/Spongebob.

Ooh... Yeah, I never thought of that one. That probably had a big affect on it. And Im sure in "Home Sweet Pineapple" when SpongeBob was trying to get into Squidward's bed had a purty big role in it.

exactly! they say it cause they hate spongebob and they want parents to stop letting their kids watch it. even if he was gay thats a pretty dumb reason to stop watching the show, just shows how careless and homophobic some people are.

We all know he's not gay, and even though I'm against homosexuality, i don't think it's right to use gay as an insult. Besides, the "spongebob is gay" people are a minority, so how 'bout we just stop talking about this.

if they say spongebob's gay then they're really hiding something about themselves cause the people who work on spongebob even said he is not.

Like recently a mayor in the state I live in said in his campain that he was against gay rights, but later they found out he was homosexual. Yeah, he got fired.

but w/ spongebob i just have to laugh when they put headings or questions like "is spongebob gay?" or "will spongebob make you gay?" cause its only a cartoon. if it was a real person then they do have a right to question, but stephen hillenburg said he did not intend for spongebob to be a gay character.

If they want to pick on a gay show, pick on Queer Eye.
