Have the writers made Mr. Krabs too mean and greedy?

In my opinion: Yes. Let's recap: First they have Mr. Krabs obsessed with competing for business by being cruel to SpongeBob and Squidward by having them work 24 hours in the Fear of a Krabby Patty episode and then it goes to obsession with money like Money Talks and definitely Penny Foolish: Goodness it is just a penny! 1 Cent is nothing especially these days, it would have been somewhat better if they had him find so many ways to try and get a dollar bill or a hundred dollar bill or something like that. He is mean to Squidward in Krabs a' la mode by obseesing over a thermostat. Why is Mr. Krabs like this so often? I just wish Mr.Krabs could go back to the way he was before Season 4 such as these good episode examples: Born Again Krabs, Employee of the Month and Christmas Who? Even in Squid on Strike and My Pretty Seahorse they at least showed some caring in Mr. Krabs in the end, Squid on Srike willing to take his workers back and accepting to Squidward's offers and My Pretty Seahorse he tells SpongeBob he loved a dollar like SB's Seahorse and the story was great to him but he just says that sometimes you have to let things go and shows SB that Mystery wants to go back to the wild. But now...ugh, now Mr. Krabs is just a complete jerk so why did that have to do that to him? So cruel like in that global warming episode and Krabby Kronicle, and in The Patty Caper he steals the ingredient just so he doesn't have to pay a measley 1.98 for it, epsiodes such as this also prove that he is setting bad examples for kids, so i just hope that kids realize what he is doing is wrong and know NOT to be like him. Anybody here agree with me on this? The episodes are just foul and i also wish they didn't make it like that in the episode: Selling Out in the very end where Mr. Krabs says he doesn't really care that he got his two workers back and restaraunt, and tells them to get back to work, i just wish they didn't make that part like that i mean, it just seems so simple to have him say that he DOES care that he got his two workers back and his restaraunt. What have the writers done to poor Mr. Krabs? He wasn't always like this.

I miss the old Mr. Krabs so R.I.P. Mr. Krabs seasons 1-3. (The only episode i could think of where Mr. Krabs was bad in Seasons 1-3 is Clams.) Who wants the old M. Krabs back? Too bad the golden age of seasons 1-3 had to end, that is okay if some people like the 2005-2008 epsiodes because i guess some people have to but i am just saying the majority of us (including me) like the older seasons better and notice a lot of wrong things made into these season 4-6 epsiodes. R.I.P. the golden age of seasons 1-3 as well.

In Season 4, I loved Mr. Krabs' greediness. Especially in Wishing You Well. The counterfeiting thing is a terrible example for younger viewers, and I know a lot of people will agree. I liked his cheapness in episodes like Fear Of A Krabby Patty and The Graveyard Shift. But sometimes he just goes too far..

I liked Mr. Krabs in season four. But after The Krusty Sponge, I started hating him. I hate how the new writers are making him counterfeit and it does set a very bad example, especially at the end of "The Krabby Kronicle". Hopefully the new writers will someday write better episodes they have done like "Sing a Song of Patrick", "Le Big Switch", "House Fancy" and "Plankton's Regular".

Yeah making squidward and spongebob work 24 hours a day was mean, also the thermostat incident was horrible not to mention making spongebob be decitfull in the krusty kronicle but what I really hated was in plankton's regular where he couldn't let plankton have ONE customer and made spongebob try to lure that customer away.

but Mr. krabs has done some bad things in seasons 1-3 like in squid on strike where he made spongebob and squidward pay for things like standing at the register just for goofing for which was probably just another excuse for him to have money. I really didn't like how spongebob mentioned in big pink loser that when he first started working here at the krusty krab that he had to pay Mr. Krabs $100 an hour and stalking spongebob in penny foolish just for a PENNY!! god how greedy can mr. Krabs get.

His obsessions make me laugh! Now I can make him the star in my Christmas fanfic, "A Cartoons Christmas Carol!"

This is true. I found something else that made seasons 4-6 bad. First, the new writers aren't that creative and the plots are going bad. Then, Mr. Krabs is very greedy and selfish and wants money. The new writers made changes to the characters. Mr. Krabs is now greedy.

One thing that bothered me in Penny Foolish was when Mr. Krabs built that entire movie theater just to get SpongeBob's penny. I mean, it's just overly ridiculous how he must have spent way over a fortune building that theater, and the tore it down just because SpongeBob wouldn't give him that penny. Why didn't he just ask SpongeBob what he did with that "penny" in the first place? If SpongeBob said he doesn't have a penny, he means it. Does Mr. Krabs think he's a complete liar?

Penny Foolish is without any doubt my least favorite SpongeBob episode.

I thought it was funny how Mr. Krabs just stalked SpongeBob for the penny, but that was taking it a bit far.

First, Krabs was just frugal. That wasn't a big deal, many of my family members are frugal. Now, he's a cheap, miserly, greedy SOB. And WTF is up with him wanting to give up his daughter for all the money that he has earned?

As the seasons went on, they started making it seem like he had issues, and everywhere he goes he sees money sort of thing.

As the seasons progressed, he became more of a focal point of the show like Krabbybob Krabpants or something. Yeah, he develops a bad attitude, but he is on the show way too much.
