Did you know that original animation cels of SpongeBob are being sold on eBay? It's true, but they're only from Season 1 and 2, I think.

Did you know that both episodes "Wet Painters" and "Krusty Krab Training Video" have Mr. Krabs humming, "Blow The Man Down?"

Did you know that on Rotten Tomatoes, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie got a "Certified Fresh" 69%?

Did you know that on Metacritic, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie got a 66%, indicating "generally favorable reviews?"

The German title for SB is Spongebob Schwammkopf. It means Spongebob SpongeHead.

MermaidMan's invisible boat mobile is really a '59 Cadillac

Spongebob is referred to as "Square Square Sponge" in Korea

I thought Tom Kenny did stand-up comedy before doing voice work?

    Did you know
They revealed the secret Krabby Patty formula on Nick.com.

It contains crab meat, which I find disturbing that Mr Krabs is serving his own species to his customers.

The "Krabby Patty" was originally going to be called the "Barnacle Burger".

Stephen Hillenburg, the creator, stopped making new episodes in 2002 to work on the feature length film, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004). Because of this Nickelodeon had eight unaired episodes which they air at the rate of two or three a year.

Every time a license is seen, Spongebob says something about a mustache.

Green and purple were early color choices for the character before his classic yellow was chosen

Tom Kenny, who does the voice of SpongeBob, says his character's laugh was meant to make viewers think of the ocean. It is based on the distinctive call of a dolphin, with just a touch of a seagull's shriek. He was nominated 13 times in the Golden Reel Awards and won 7 awards there.

Did you know that the first time Tom made SpongeBob's voice was for a random character on Rocko's Modern Life, and when they were making SpongeBob, Steven (who also worked on Rocko) remembered that voice and asked Tom to do it again, and ta-dah, SpongeBob's voice was born

^They actually did reveal the Krabby Patty formula on Nickjr.com, however it's really just the recipe for crab cakes.

The very first concept of SpongeBob was in an educational undersea comic Steve wrote in the '80s called "The Intertidal Zone". The comic featured a sea sponge host who was named Bob the Sponge.

SpongeBob was originally to be called SpongeBoy, but it was changed due to already being copyrighted by someone else.

The actor who plays Patchy the Pirate is actually the same person who voices SpongeBob. Kind of ironic how he's supposed to be SB's #1 fan, when he IS SpongeBob.

^^I bet there are more, like SquidWood, for example.

Rodger Bumpass, the voice of Squidward, got his start on The Jetsons.

Sandy Cheeks was the first voice acting job Carolyn Lawrence got.

The last episode co-written by Carl Greenblatt was Fear of a Krabby Patty.
