SpongeBob SquarePants: Episode Discussion: The Masterpiece / Whelk Attack

These episodes aired this morningin the US. For those of you who saw it, what did you think about them? Personally, I thought "The Masterpiece" was the better of the two, and I didn't enjoy "Whelk Attack."

Whelk Attack was awesome,It had great humor. Contunity in Spongebob? That's something you don't see everyday. The Masterpiece was decent,not special,but decent. I loved the ending .

What I didn't really care for in Whelk Attack was the part where SpongeBob and Patrick removed their corneas. That was really gross, especially when they showed them without them.

After seeing those episodes, I really liked them. I liked Whelk Attack the best, I thought it had a lot of suspence, and a referance to a very old episode which was surprising. I also thought Masterpiece was pretty funny too.

The Masterpiece

This episode had an ok plot, ok jokes and an ok out come. Squidward was great but I just felt like the episode sort of dragged. It was by no means bad but it just sort of dragged. The first 3 minutes or so were hilarious with Spongebob going "Undercover" and I liked the ending.

Score for The Masterpiece: B-, 3.5/5, 7/10, Good

Whelk Attack

BEST SEASON 7 EPISODE. This was a classic it could of easily been passed as a season 2/3 episode. The jokes felt fresh and so was the plot. The design of the Whelk's were great not disgusting like the worms in "Pets or Pests". Oh and the animation was great I was amazed at how great it was when the Whelk swallowed Mr Krabs. Amazing Season 7 episode and a great Spongebob episode.

Score for Whelk Attack: A-, 4.5/5, 9/10, Outstanding

The Masterpiece was okay, but it kind of dragged on for a little bit.

Whelk Attack, on the other hand, was great. It was very original. My favorite episode of season 7, next to Single Cell Anniversary

CSA was season six..
And I thought these episodes were great also. Especialy Whelk attack felt like a fresh idea. The Masterpiece was also very good. 9.5/10!

Great pair, I preferred Whelk ATtack over Masterpiece, but both had their moments. Masterpiece's finest was undercover SPongebob, and Spongebob stealing a piece of the Museum wall, I LOLed hard at that!

Whelk Attack had lots of moments, and the story was engaging too, and the ending was amazing. Reference to the Suds? WOW. And the return of the Realistic Fish Head!!!

Keep it up writers!

Same, although I saw about half of The Masterpiece, and thought it was okay.

I liked Whelk Attack the best. They actually put Sandy in this one. Anyone feel like the writers have been ignoring Sandy lately? Oh well anyway it was an awesome episode.
