He's become a real jerk now. He's constantly stealing, lying, breaking laws, nearly killing people, and generally acting like an inconsiderate **** who doesn't give a damn about anyone else. He's gotten away with counterfiet, poisoning innocents, holding people against their will, threatening, breaking in and robbing, and various other things.
...And he's never gotten in trouble. Not once. I really hate this. Whatever happened to the goodhearted sailor who was only slightly cheap? He was friendly, wise, and tough and would always help people in their time of need. He wasn't desperate for money. He never grew insane over a penny, or chained someone to a register so they won't leave without buying. His greed has gone to incredibly high levels, to the point that he'd deny spending a cent (which would save his daughter's life) because he's so cheap. The only time I remember ever seeing him with any sense of goodness was in "Overbooked", where he was nice, understanding, and seemed to be far less money-crazy than before.
It really bothers me. What do you think?
