    Actually, it isn't. Technically, Avatar is. It brought on the most views EVER for one episode on that specific channel. Spongebob doesn't have a prayer of beating our amount of views.     You can't compare Avatar with SpongeBob. They're two COMPLETLY different types of shows.
    Yes, and an example of SBSP's decline is the fact that SBSP didn't win the Nick Award for Favorite Cartton for the first time in li,e, what, 5 or 6 years??? And the winner was Avatar, so...
    Another very good point. Avatar winning the KCA's this year proves that many people are hating what's been happening to SpongeBob. We need two true shows that deserve to have a lot of time space, and that's Avatar and El Tigre, but Nick just keeps on making the wrong decisions to get us fans annoyed with them. -_- C'mon let's set up some petitions here, we want more Avatar and El Tigre. SpongeBob is being showed WAY too much when it clearly has decreased in quality and there's some very bad season 4-6 episodes in it. Avatar can be WAY more epic than SpongeBob in a lot more episodes too. (And in my opinion Avatar and El Tigre are both VERY cool, and especially Avatar has some of the best characters, plots, and storylines in world history.)

    calm down man. first of all, they are entitled to liking Spongebob's newer seasons, you can't tell them what episodes to like and to not like. secondly, can someone please tell me whats so great about el tigre? it was a stupid show and i am glad its not on anymore. third, whatever happened to you on taking it easy about the newer season bashing. finally, is there ANY newer season episodes that you liked?

And since the Bikini Bottom Confidential episodes came out after the ending to Avatar, and some of the episodes were disliked by some people, that proves that Avatar had nothing to do with SpongeBob's decreasing quality and drop into the dark ages.

    One thing that disturbs me though is when Avatar became very popular, sometime later Nick turns toward SpongeBob and wants to try and focus on it more, leaving avatar fans confused and frustrated, thye broadcast SpongeBob with a rather suprisingly high number of time slots to try and get more viewers, however, that does not seem to be working, as there are still many people who find the later seasons of SpongeBob mediocre at best. So i can see why Avatards are disturbed with this problem, as Avatar is an excellent show that deserves to be shown more, but Nick aggravates them by only caring about the Sponge even when 80% of the people on this board are saying seasons 4-6 suck.

    One last thing is this: If SpongeBob SquarePants got a movie that made it into theaters, Avatar was an awesome cartoon as well with many viewers liking the great adventures the show has, so i find that Avatar should have also gotten a movie that made it into the movie theaters.
    I could not have said it better myself. I turn to Nick for many reasons, having good quality animation, and its greatest ideas coming from great animators with awesome creative ideas and a wonderful imagination, and these people who make the world a better place are none other than the creators of Avatar and El Tigre. That's what i turn to Nick for, seeing awesome epic animated shows like those that show a lot of skill and effort being put into them.     please if you have a problem with the show can you take it elsewhere. quit commenting on the spongebob forums if you have a such huge problem with the show. el tigre is not that great of a show and if you want to make an avatar petition do it over on the avatar forums.

    Really. I think you're going a bit too far, I mean let's not start a flame war here. I acknowledge SBSP's decline, like I said in my post, but I still like SBSP better than Avatar, and I don't see El Tigre anymore, that seemed to die out very quickly, so just calm down here for a second. You're ranting. (What's with the multiple posts BTW? You posted like 7 times in a row.

    That is just too harsh. You could just about say the same to me. One word my friend: opinions! Me and the other few people that like just about all of the other episodes are just good fans. We aren't crazy for heaven sake! We just like the show that much! I like Avatar, but I'm not a fan. Why not? Because Avatar Fans on here (apart from a few) are just horrible at SB half the time. SpongeBob is the best in my opinion, and I love it so much. It's your opinion about the later seasons, it's not a fact!

    seriously, me too. they always downgrade spongebob just because they finally won a kid's choice awards. when avatar wins as many as spongebob has they can talk smack as much as they want. until then, they need to chill, but i don't wish that they burn though because that is pretty cruel and we will be sinking down to their level

    Wow, dude harsh! Calm down! Geez. Don't get so worked up, because Spongebob and Avatar are two different types of shows. Spongebob is comedy, while Avatar is drama and fighting. And I like both shows! Just because someone is an Avatar fan doesn't mean they can't post on Spongebob boards! They could like Spongebob just as much for all you know! I love Jimmy Neutron!     Really. I think you're going a bit too far, I mean let's not start a flame war here.     Are you crazy whoever it was that said they liked El Tigre?! El Tigre sucks! Spongebob is so much better and funnier! But I do like the Avatar.

    They're just jealous because their show doesn't get nearly as much airtime as SpongeBob was. Back before Avatar ended, things were so intense I said it was "a rivalry of Red Sox-Yankees proportions." And that's saying something!

    SpongeBob and Avatar are completely different.
    SB has gone on longer, and gets more air time.
    Avatar is the opposite.
    Can't we just like either show, or both and stop this whole thing?

    I've never seen Avatar anyway so its a show I can't judge. Why have I been seeing a user bash SpongeBob around so much? You ilovejn are right, Avatar is over now. So let it die, the show is over. Arguments over this seem pointless anyway since Avatar is complete, so again, avatar fans need to let it die.

    Besides the people who genuinely hate this show for actual reasons, some people say they hate Spongebob because of it's popularity, and, instead of following the crowd, they say they hate Spongebob just to be different and "cool" even though they might like the show. This goes to especially teenagers (I know a lot of people like this) who feel like there too old to watch SB. But COME ON! SB started nearly 10 years ago, when most of us were young kids and loved this show. Now ten years later they suddenly decide to hate this show, because of their age. So I ask anybody on these forums, fans or not, aren't we all kids at heart? Otherwise we would say we were too "cool" to hang out on these forums in the first place. Enjoy SB as it is. Follow your heart and interests people!

    p.s. Whoa speech moment there.

    p.s. Avatar's OK. Xiaolin Showdown's better though.

    p.s. I admit, the first three seasons were better. Less "gross humor."

    p.s. I LOVE SPONGEBOB!!! (is that too hard for most of you to say?)
