    Because everyone is at the age of 13 and at that age people don't really watch silly cartoons. That's just my opinion.

    I couldn't imagine anyone that really watches Spongebob hating it, unless your talking about seasons 4-7...

    I'm 14 and I would still prefier cartoon/CGI animation to live action. I used to love Spongebob. The best episode: Band Geeks (great humor, friendship, and awesome music) but after season 5, they started doing filler episodes (The Krusty Plate, Pat no Pay) and they got into the gross humor (Fungus Among us, A flea in the Treedome, To love a Patty (I start to gag)) And they made Patrick a complete idiot. Before, he was funny stupid like Cosmo, but after seeing episodes like the one where he didn't know how to turn off his alarm clock or where it was coming from (and it was right in front of him). Peter Griffen is smarter than Patrick now. Face it, after the movie, Spongebob lost it's touch. If the writters would shape up and start doing what they did in season 3, maybe less people would hate. I will admit it WAS a funny show, but not anymore

    not to flame or to offend anyone but

    the show is not good at all, i never even lauged at one of its jokes, it sucks,

    spongebob is getting more annoying by the episode with his laugh and stuff

    the show is taking over Nick. its in Nickelodean for around 9-10 or even more hours a day

    All the characters there wanna be funny but are not

    i can go on forever and ever

    People hate spongebob because:

    1. It steals about 5 hrs. of airtime each day, causing avatar and el tigre to be neglected.

    2. The later seasons of spongebob betrayed those of us who used to watch the show. It was okay and even kind of funny, until the questionable writers decided that it was funny to just make everyone except Squidward into idiots.

    Not anymore. Watch the Splinter(the worst episode in SB history in my opinion) and you'll really see how stupid he is.

    This is exactly why i watch Nicktoons network now. they don't have that sponge there. well. they do at 10:00 and 10:30 but thats it. Nicktoons network is WAY better then Nickelodean

    and they have more Avatar in NN

    I don't hate Spongebob but the show is just really silly, I remember back when I was 8 I did like the show, but as I matured Spongebob and his silly antics weren't for me.

    Well, different people like different kinds of shows i guess. However, if you don't like Spongebob, you don't have much of a sense of humor.

    If they started watching from Season 5 and had never seen an episode before that, I can understand. Some people just find it annoying, like my friend. The day someone says anything horrible about Patrick, Squidward or Gary and I hear, is the day they get a knuckle sandwich.
