Season Three has my favorite version of him. The movie's style isn't quite to my liking for some reason, and the fourth season is closer to that version of him than any of the others. So yeah, I'm gonna go with season three. =]

You think the season four one is the most like the movie animation? I think their completely different. In the movie, they use the season three animation and greatly improved it, but in season four they used a completely different drawing. I think the movie animation is the most similar to season three. Compare his drawing in the movie to "SpongeBob Meets The Strangler". Their really identical.

Oh. The episode guide here on Tv.com says there's still a few more episodes of Season 4 left.

"Rise and Shine / Waiting / Sing a Song of Patrick" was produced as a season 5 episode.

If you already answered my first question, here's another one. SpongeBob's drawing is slightly different in almost every episode. Which episode (not season) do you think he looked the best (not including the movie)?

I think he looked the best in "SpongeBob Meets The Strangler"! Did you see how improved he looked then? He didn't even look that good in the next episode, "Pranks A Lot". Besides, of all the episodes, this was when he resembled his appearance from the movie the most.

He looked really good in the episode The Great Snail Race because he wasn't that square or he didn't have that many curves on his body. He looked just right in the episode.

I didn't like it that much because it was too digitalized. Notice all those wavey pixels?
