    Season 1's animation was nostalgic(Before comp renderd ami took over).

    I don't think so, SpongeSebastian, remember that SpongeBob started as a low budget show, and it was until season 2 that they could afford digital animation. The writers commented about it on a special feature in a DVD.

    No, I think she's right. First of all, why must every SP fan think that the forums have to always be positive? It's a place to express opinions! And freedom of speech! And yadayada so forth.... Anyway, I was watching the episode Boating Buddies yesterday, and I must say it was actually hard to look at Spongebob. Instead of those very small, tiny dimple things he has on the sides of his mouth in the early episodes, they were these huge puffy balloons on the side of his mouth! It made him look like he was 4 years old! SERIOUSLY! So, yeah, the animation is NOT fine if it is hard to look at one of the main characters.

    Well if you guys haven't noticed, in every animated show on Nick, or most of them anyway, the first few episodes have dull, boring animation, but as the show continues, the animation gets better and better and better. Same thing with All Grown Up, Hey Arnold, aaannnndd...some other third show.

    Oh yeah, to that dude who kept trashing Spongebob, save it. We don't want it here.

    You mean his overly sized cheeks? Yeah that is annoying to look at. I hated it when they put the 1 tooth on Patrick in Krusty Krushers.

    Well did you read my post saying that in the first few episodes the animation is suckish, then it gets better? Remember, Rock Bottom aired in season 1.

    Well I for one don't think this show's animation is bad at all! Even in season one, I just think the first season's animation has a more unique and classic style than all the others.

    However, some episodes were so gross and pointless in season 5, so maybe in season 5 since some episodes stunk so bad, maybe it also brung the quality of the animation down too, who knows?

    Season 2 and 3 rocked! So in those seasons I'd say not only the episodes were the best, but also the quality of the animation! After all, the movie some are saying had the best animation and the movie was the grand finale for season 3.
