    There was a 2008 forum awards, so I figured that I should make a 2009 forum awards. I am the host this year. Here are the categories.

    Best user

    best sticky thread

    best returning user

    best returning thread

    best new thread

    If we do this, shouldn't it be:

    Best Returning User
    Best New User
    Best Returning Thread
    Best New Thread

    And then maybe some other unique ones like:

    Funniest User
    Most Creative User

    That's just off the top of my head, anyone else have any ideas?

    What about Best user that either left or got banned? Or would it be hard to vote for them because some people aren't sure about older members? (I'm familiar with some, since I stalked the forums before I got an account)

    How about this? We all vote and their is no host so that way it can actually be a FORUM awards. And their are no nominees, the users can vote for whoever they want to that fits the category description.

    Anyway I got a couple categories in mind

    Best Returning User (obviously users before 2009) Best New User (joined in 2009)
    Best New Thread (created in 2009)
    Best Returning Thread (threads that are not stickied that weren't created this year)
    Best Stickied Thread (obviously the pinned threads)
    Best Forum Moment (best thing that happened in the forums in 2009)
    Worst Forum Moment (the exact opposite of the one above)
    Worst Thread Genre (something that was done to death for topic ideas)
    Worst Troller (cough Sharkenator for example cough)
    Best Icon (who has the funniest, coolest, etc. image for their avatar)
    Best Blog Party (well we've had like a kajillion of them so why not have this category)

    And then my last category idea can be a what would you like to see happen to the SpongeBob forums until the next ceremony. And the users can say what topic ideas they have in mind that they think could be really succesful or what they want to see change in general.

    Oh and how about Most Likely To Succeed (well not really )

    Well both could count I guess. Or it could be someone who has created multiple profiles like the reviewer who gave four 1's to SB recently
