Why is Season 4 so short?

Why was Season 4 so short? Why did it only have like 15 episodes in it instead of the usual 22 or so? I am just really curious about this. This might have always been discussed, and I apologize about that, but I really want to know. It doesn't make sense.

Not sure why. Season 4 has ended now though. Dan Schneider has done this with his previous shows, but why though?
iCarly won't be around for much longer, I just wish he made the episodes faster and way longer seasons. I'll try and get to the bottom of this.

Season 4 was a 26 episode order. It hasn't been completed yet.

Blame Victorious. It used three of iCarly's episodes for it's crossover. And iCarly now has to share the set with it. There are at least 25 episodes of Victorious, which means iCarly has been completely unable to film for at least half a year since it came in.

Hence the heavily reduced amount of iCarly episodes.

Then Victorious stole 3 more episodes from iCarly to film it's crossover. So far we've had 8 single episodes, a two-parter, and the three-part crossover.

If Victorious didn't exist, iCarly would've completed and aired the entire set of 'post iomg' episodes by now (26 episodes), and be preparing to film a full 26 episode final season.

Season 4 was never said to be a 26 episode order. If it was, they would have finished it by now. It's different production code now.

I'm pretty sure Nick ordered 26 and then another 13 (in 2012). Just because production seasons aren't matched doesn't mean they weren't in the same order.

    idk. Can't remember

Isn't Season 4 really Season 3 because the complete season 3 is coming out on DVD in August, and it has Season 4 episodes and iparty with victorious on it?? I'm so confused how they break down the season format.

It just seems really confusing and different than any other show I've ever watched. If the show does end soon, I want it to have a good ending. An epic ending. A lot of t.v. shows have bad endings and I don't like it. This show better end well. It better not end like I Love Lucy. lol. That was bad.

I Love Lucy is my avi...I love that show. I just wanted an actual ending to it. It ended unexpectedly because of their divorce, I think. It's sad. I am now more aware of the season thing for iCarly. It still doesn't really make that much sense, but I guess it is the way it is. There's nothing we can do about it.

Well, I now understand it a little more clearly, guys. Thanks! So, when they say that the show is scheduled for 5 seasons, is that the original format or Nick's Format? Like, what they're filming now is the fifth season? Or, like the original format with what they're filming now be season 4 so we have like two more years of the show? I hope that made sense. It makes sense in my mind.
