Unfortunately the empty network suits think regular people are boring, and don't feature them in stories. They only show people portrayed as loons, psychos, goofballs etc. I'm afraid MC will be typecast as a goofball forever. Fortunately there is Sci Fi and fantasy, so there are plenty of non-human roles she can play. Of course she would have to be able to look the part (lots of makeup!) and act the part. For instance I read an H. P. Lovecraft story about giant carnivorous worms. These worms had lackys who tried to disguise themselves as humans in order to con real humans into being eaten, but they had horns on their heads (hidden by turbans) and "too wide mouths." They can easily fake the turbans, and MC already has a too wide mouth, so she'd easily look the part. And she was good at being devious in her earlier series, so that would work. (Just how big is MC's mouth anyway? In that wind tunnel scene in iSpace out--that had to be CGI right? Can any human's mouth really stretch that big?!) Anyway here are some role ideas.

A werewolf: The look; all you need is a good werewolf suit and she'd look OK. The acting; I think MC could handle the role easy but unfortunately Victoria Justice did this already.

A vampire: The look;I don't think MC would look good pale, and fangs would tend to get lost in that humongous pie hole of hers. The acting; MC has such a vibrant and sunny film presence that I don't think she could do broody that well--maybe she could do more of a Lily Munster type.

A fairy: The look; IMHO she would look great in a pastel mini-dress with matching hose, and sparkles added! Plus the gossamer wings! The acting; She does have a sweetness about her--yeah, she could play a good fairy, or at least a goofy one like in "Ella Enchanted."

A space alien: The look; Well, it would depend who was doing it. As much as I like Star Trek the makeup on that show wasn't impressive. They mostly just added bumps to the actors faces. The alien makeup on Babylon 5 was much better. The acting; Could MC accurately portray a character with a totallyalien mind? Well hey! She already portrays a teen girl, so duh yeah!

And finally here is an idea for a great superhero franchise--Frog Woman!! SmileA woman who can turn herself into a big frog! Watch as she drop kicks the bad guys! She can leap over tall buildings and up walls! Watch as she snatches weapons from the bad guys hands using her tongue! The look; Well, they'd have to find a way to give MC big bulging eyes to make her look completely like a frog, but that's the only problem. The acting; Do you really need to be Katherine Hepburn for a role like this?

So what do you guys think, and do you have any other ideas?

Well..... Um..... Uh..... I see u are a real big fantasy/sci fi fan. (awkward laugh). I think they all have a really good future in Hollywood if they capitalize on their fame. Jerry has lots of comedy potential I'm hoping the vampire fad is dead before iCarly is, but if not MC is realllllly pale so that would work, I think they even made a joke about it on iCarly. I'm not really sure how to make a frog sexy, and u can't be a successful female superhero without sex appeal. I think she could do quite a wide range of things, I didn't see her good wife episode ,( or any other episode for that matter, it's lowest rated show on CBS so I wasn't the only one) but it probably was serious seeing as it's a ?drama?. IDK I hope they do great, I hate to see characters from past shows flop afterwards careerwise.

I've thought of a Full House remake where Miranda is DJ Tanner and Jennette is Kimmy Gibbler. It would be fitting since I find Carly to be alot like DJ and Sam to be alot like Kimmy.

I personally like her acting better when her character is a smart a$s, being evil, a little bit snobby, or all of the above. I can see her playing somebody turning crazy "Black Swan" style.

Is that sort of like when she was playing Megan Parker on Drake and Josh?

A frog woman isn't really all that appealing. Unless you're talking about "The Princess and the Frog", which still isn't very attractive lol.

@jeg: Well like Megan, Summer, or herself on iBloop, but not just limited to those types of characters. Like the "popular" snobby girls, or any type of know it all. Or I could see the opposite dramatic, psychotic role.

I forgot to mention this too, but I feel like Miranda would totally nail horror roles. Or she could play the villain/criminal in a drama. I think she's really underrated. People judge her from the earlier seasons from iCarly, which I don't think is fair. She has potential, she just needs really good roles to prove it. Oh yeah, and I think she should do a guest role on CSI like Jennette and Nathan did.

OK, about your comments on my frog woman idea. 1. Why the heck does a woman need to look like a beauty queen to be a superhero? and 2. What I meant to say was that Cosgrove could play a woman who looks normal but can morph into frog woman, a la "The Incredible Hulk," except she can do it at will, and into a slightly deeper shade of green.

BC comic books (oops I meant graphic novels) are written by guys who can't get girls. Sooo the chicks in their books look like pornstars, with certain exaggerated features.

^ Did I lie though? Nah.... That comment was made with my annoying brother in mind. He's always either "using the bathroom" with his laptop, or in his room reading what I call comic books, but he insists they're called graphic novels.

IA with Rici(although it's kind of harshly put haha). Name one successful female superhero that isn't attractive. *crickets chirp and tumbleweed rolls by*

@pscf3: Yeah...but I didn't care for it. It didn't really impress me and I think she could do better with a different role. I do like that "type" of character though, and I did indeed like it. I just think she should take it a step up.

Mwahaha I planned that to validate my point. jk

EDIT to put some relevancy into my post: Okay, this may sound really weird, but I really like Miranda's acting in the HP commercial. Well obviously it isn't as good as "The Good Wife" because well, it's a commercial, but still. It fits it's vibe?? I dunno I think what I realized is that I think she has a cool "calm" and relaxing voice and I like it over her "bubbly" voice(more weirdness?? I can't explain it). Like...Megan has a calmer, lower voice compared to Carly. The HP commercial is more soothing compared to the Neutrogena commercial. I'm not saying she should do commercials for the rest of her career, but I like her playing roles with this type of voice. Am I being crazy here or something?? It is kind of late and I got no sleep, so maybe....

Actually I think it's the same with Jennette, because I prefer the type of voice in "The Best Player" than the voice of Sam(or Melanie).

I think it's a good thing they can change their voice to make their character more believable and that they're versatile though. Come to think of it, they did an excellent job in animation too(Despicable Me for Miranda and that weird Glenn Martin thing with Jenn). They could do voices in animated movies. Okay, I'll shut up about their voices now. xD Haha, maybe it's because I like them as singers too or something.

Hey, as far as frogs go, I thought Tiana was VERYattractive. Both her and Naveen.

... So anyways, Miranda's pretty good at voice-acting, going by "Despicable Me". I can definetly see her doing a family sitcom, or maybe a thriller movie. Y'know, mix it up a little.

You wonderful person you! Maybe now people can see why I picked a frog superhero for Cosgrove. Just compare the cute frog above with a photo of Cosgrove. Round face with large mouth?--check. Long skinny legs?--check. I don't get how people can't see it, that MC does slightly resemble a frog woman. By the way, you are sure the cast of iC never visits these boards, right? And even if they do, they can't find out where you live, right? Embarassed Ummm,Miss Cosgrove, on the million to one shot you are a celebrity who actually checks out what your fans opinions are, just remember, I compared you to a cute froggy.
