We don't know if this is the last season or not. It hasn't been renewed yet, and they still have to film Victorious and the second half of this season. I disagree, I think this is one of my favorite seasons so far. I think something about it is making it a little more mature. I'm not sure what it is...maybe the actors?? I like it better, and many others do too. I don't think they have reached their peak yet, to be honest. There is a lot of character development that can be done.

@Lampy: Sam has never intentionally harmed Spencer or Carly for as long as she's known them. It was in character of her to never hurt Spencer. She also hasn't physically hurt Freddie or Gibby in a long time(we always exclude iSpace Out due to OOCness from the space madness) so she is sort of maturing. Sort of...

You must've missed the part in IGP when she purpously and spitefully electrocuted Freddie on his throat. That could of killed him.

It is true that she hasn't intentionally hurt Spencer or Carly. And even if she has it was very minor compared to Freddie or others. But I think that because she hasn't physically hurt someone in a long time, like you said, I feel like I miss the old Sam. I think I just have this need for Sam to be spunky. Or something. I just want her to mature AND still be funny/herself.

Don't get me wrong, I love this season, and I think it has potential to be the best, but as my dad always says "iCarly is a time limited show". This is because iCarly is a VERY silly show, and the actors are getting old. So, the show now seems even silier. Especially Freddie. I don't know why, but this seems to effect him the most. Take, for instance, the line "I thought she seemed less irritating". The way he said it just seemed kinda cheesy. So, iCarly will probably reach it's peak this season, because by the time that a fifth season will be filmed, the actors will be in college.

However, if this season continues the way it's going, it could end up being the best yet. If this is the last season, then I'm hoping for an amazing finale that really closes the show.

Actually, I view iCarly as having three "eras":

Era 1: Season 1, because they are younger and more juvenile. Actually, I'm gonna use Freddie as an example in all of these. In this "era", he is younger, and hasn't yet hit puberty

Era 2: Season 2, and 3. Here, they are older, and Freddie has hit puberty. It is still silly, but not as much.

Era 3: Season 4. Here, Gibby has hit puberty, Carly and Freddie are much taller, the silliness is back, and they are MUCH older.

I get your point. I love the show and would hate to see it end, but I know it will.
